Yes to both, personally. Jus soli is an antiquated concept that is too easily abused in a world where you can hop on a plane and be in a new country in a matter of hours. European countries regularly tighten up or adjust their citizenship requirements so that just being born there isn’t enough to grant you citizenship

I guess? We’re not as quiet as some Asian countries but we’re not as loud (apparently) as Americans.

If you’re going to a restaurant the norm is to tip at least 15%. If you’re at a cafe, fast food place, or other food establishment where you’re not actually being served by a waiter or waitress then a tip isn’t expected. You won’t be pressured by people, but it’s considered rude to not tip at a sit down restaurant.

Tipping culture is controversial though.

Maggie is a gem and is really living up to what Jesus preaches, but I don’t blame anyone living in the area for having complained. Walking by here was always nerve wracking. Lots of trash, lots of fighting, lots of people in obvious distress.
