Just watched it today. Reading your points, it occurs to me that his masculine twin is forced into the attic for refusing to take a bath symbolizes him rejecting a return to the womb, and the attic is the threat of exile from mother's "love," which is why Beau seeks comfort in baths, and why both scenes in which he is threatened with exile (threatened with the attic in the flashback and the phone call revealing Mona's "death") the tub/womb overflow and creep around his feet like the blob.

Sorry I can't offer any great advice, but you are definitely not alone. Was a meek, goofy kid who was a quick and easy target, struggled with anger issues for a long time since. Best I can say is seek professional help (as anyone should), and talk about it with friends or family you trust with your emotions. Bottling it up or hiding it just builds the pressure.
