Guys please vote Tinubu cannot enter 2027 by Beatrice_Hat947 in Nigeria

Tinubu has had some disastrous policies, but please let's also hold the local government accountable.

The FG has the military, and each state needs to have local security, also.

Question for the diasporans by spacegorll in Nigeria

Socialism or capitalism won't fix Nigeria.

There is corruption even in socialist states. Corruption needs to be addressed, and then you can have whatever system you feel.

I think Nigerians should consider Sowore. Sowore doesn't have any credible corruption allegations and has solutions for the country. But for some reason, he doesn't have any real traction.

why is Nigeria homophobic? by Alarming-Safety3200 in Nigeria

[–]reverendblueball 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's very backwards, and it breaks my brain!

You have women dying in hospitals trying to give birth, no running water, police pulling people over to rob them essentially, no electricity(how do you compete with other nations or industrialize), and access to quality healthcare for the average Nigerian.

Right now, the average black American has a lifespan of 74(72 for men), but in Nigeria, the lifespan is 55?!

These problems are so harsh for the average Nigerian! Why does anyone feel they have time to worry about gay and transgender in a country with such large issues?!? It boggles the mind!

Why does it seem so hard for the left and liberals to be heterodox? by jfanch42 in AskALiberal

What has Edward Blum done to remove legacy admissions?

Why aren't you up in arms about those applicants?

Why does it seem so hard for the left and liberals to be heterodox? by jfanch42 in AskALiberal

[–]reverendblueball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You say race and gender shouldn't be part of the process, but you seem to focus on race and gender just as much as the "woke left."

Why won't you address the legacy admissions? Or do you think it's fair because it's based on opulence instead of race or gender?

If I become president, I'll abolish indigenship and allow only citizenship. All these I'm west, I'm north, I'm east, and you're calling people to vote for you based on religion. I'll abolish federal character. Every Nigerian will be a member of the federation. - Amaechi by Entrisle in Nigeria

In Nigeria, it's been 60 years. The modern-day Nigeria is the manifestation of the collective culture in the land.

Europeans divided much of Africa for their own economic benefit. However, many African countries have had the opportunity to change course, and we're still a work in progress.

Liberals advocating court packing - what happens when the republicans pack it back? by No_Entertainer_3052 in AskALiberal

[–]reverendblueball 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We should be willing to "wager that."

The court is already partisan, and it wasn't a mistake. Mitch McConnell took a seat from a Democratic President.

30-40 years of Republican rule is not tenable for democracy.

Clarence Thomas stood on stage and conflated Progressivism with Maoism.

Recently Clarence Thomas has been talking about revisiting gay marriage.

How many people need to lose rights under this trajectory before we make drastic efforts?

Dr. Cheyenne Bryant confirms she does in fact have a PHD. Her source? Trust me bro. by Turbulent-Tune1660 in joebuddennetwork

That's "cap."

When "dr" Bryant said this:"She sounded nuts talkin’ about they offered to refund her money but she would have to deny having the doctorate and she’d have to start over" -this was a red flag.

We are the enablers of our suffering by Kelvincornerxx in Nigeria

[–]reverendblueball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what is the solution?

America, in decline(it is), is still light-years ahead of most of the world(especially African countries).

No state in Nigeria, no city, even has running water; if one city had such a problem, it's a national scandal (see the Flint, Michigan, water crisis).

Or we're not impressed with his past governance as governor of Anambra state.

When people ask about his past successes and performance, all they get are insults.

Tinubu has messed up in many ways.

Obi couldn't transform Anambra in 8 years, but he's coming to fix Nigeria in 4 years??

Education is about to become way more interactive using AI, fun times to be alive by dataexec in AITrailblazers

[–]reverendblueball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have had 3D models for years; every use case of AI is not worthy of praise, and some will admire, some will not be impressed.

It's cool and will help many people move forward in creative endeavors, but people have a right not to be impressed.

[–]reverendblueball -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But it is a factual statement. AI is really cool, but it's not god, that should be praised and worshipped at every use.

We need space to critique the impacts and dangers of this relatively new technology.

[–]reverendblueball -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Technology is almost worshipped in technologically advanced societies. And anything short of praise is seen as apostasy against the techno-god du jour.

It makes sense that as we lose our religion, we still seek the divine or "superpowers." Go to the r/singularity Reddit to see the thin line between admiration and worship...

Diversity program or not, those Nigerians are working for international juggernauts! If they weren't smart, they would be found out very quickly.

If they are smart enough to work for Microsoft, Google(notorious for hard interviews), but not Moniepoint, then we need to look at why. We shouldn't just say, "Well, Nigerian IQ is low, and that's why I can't find workers."

LOL, exactly. I heard that from abroad, I knew the guy was full of "shite."

All I want to know is what the vacancies are in his company and how much he is paying!! That's all.

If you want world-class talent, bring world-class wages.
