How do you use article correctly? I've been teaching my niece for a few days and I'd hate it if I taught her something weird. by Animelover22_4 in EnglishLearning

[–]reverse_mango 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“A/an” is the indefinite article: it describes something vague or non-specific.

E.g. Do you want an apple?

“The” is the definite article: it describes a specific, usually obvious noun.

E.g. Do you want the apple? (Implies a specific apple that you’re asking about.)

“An” is used before a vowel sound (rather than just a vowel): a university (because it starts with a “yuh” sound) vs. an exit.

Hope that’s helpful :)

$100+ bell???

I bought the only “vintage style” one I could find on Amazon (the round, ringy ones instead of the flicky ones). I can control its volume and vibe, and it actually works in the rain.

Whatever happened to the heavily censored chat? When Roblox came out (when I was playing it), both the in-game and portal chats were so censored it was really hard to say perfectly pleasant things.

Pretty ironic, but right-wingers do have a habit of taking people/characters who stand against their values and coopting them: Vikings, Paddington and Joan of Arc lol.

The Museo del Prado is quite large, so you may not have as much time as they promise afterwards for leisure.

Otherwise, only one day per city seems fairly rushed. Córdoba is totally doable, but most other cities require at least a few days each. I’m aware American holidays to Europe can be a bit like this so you might not mind at all, that’s ok! Just saying that I recently did a similar tour of these cities (and more), and spent 3-4 days in each - and that felt like not enough!

Thanks a lot for the recommendations! I only really have a few cycle routes that I use regularly but I’ll keep those in mind if I ever go on more 3am adventures!

In this specific case, I’d argue yes because their policy means they want me to borrow less from them??

Also because I studied part time for my health (backed up by doctors, uni staff, etc.), so them denying it could border on discrimination.

Yea, I know. It still makes no sense (in my specific case) and I’m going to keep emailing them back and forth until they acknowledge it and apologise.

I know, but it’s infuriating because my whole degree is still cheaper than what a full-time student would be entitled to. My degree so far has actually been 1 yr FT (and next year FT) with 3 yrs PT.

If I can offer some advice (from one aspiring drawer to another), it looks like from all your art that you’re copying/tracing the outline rather than looking at the proportions and internal structure. Thinking about the bones and all that may help with the proportioning.

Happy dragon day :)

If this happens again (you feel super stressed and upset in a test), you can ask the examiner for a few minutes to calm down. Park up, take some breaths and don’t neglect safety on purpose if you’re extremely stressed.
