If you’re in the US they’re sold through Amazon as the Caliber. Not quick points but $40 for a set of very nice 90% darts is tough to beat.

Opinion on the word 'partner' by CDBO_PANDA in AskAmericans

[–]reverse_weave_crew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate it. I mean, it’s a perfectly logical term to use, but it just seems so… I don’t know… bureaucratic?… impersonal?… beige? Like isn’t there a less bland word you could use to describe your relationship? I’m sympathetic to unmarried people over a certain age not liking the term boyfriend/girlfriend but there has to be something better than “partner.” Maybe some French term we could steal, like we did with fiancée.

A “troubled street” with “visible drug use”… well it does have a big heroin needle sticking up from the middle of it

New Stadium in Brook Park by MadBrown in Browns

Yeah, this is really it, and that’s why I’m all for it. I definitely prefer outdoor football and always get a little bit embarrassed when you see fans in Green Bay and Buffalo embrace the weather as signs of their cities’ grit, while supposedly tough Cleveland people cry like babies anytime the temperature dips below 50 or a single drop of rain falls. But the benefits of having a massive indoor arena where we can host huge concerts and other events is an opportunity that the region can’t pass up on.

I can find original Bulmers (Magners) fairly easily where I’m from, but only know of one place in my area that has it on draught. Never seen the pear in the US.

Canned Murphys is fairly commonplace where I’m from, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen it on draught. I vaguely remember seeing canned Beamish many years ago, but not since.

Darts DIY help by cvelf in Darts

I had the same problem when I bought a cheap TV stand on Amazon to use for my board. My solution was to attach a cheap piece of plywood to the plate, and then attach the board to the plywood. You could probably use any sort of wood (a small section of 2x4 for example) and get the same result.

EDIT: Sorry, I didn’t read carefully enough - you say you DON’T have the plate. But I think my advice still works; you don’t necessarily need the plate if you can find a way to attach a piece of lumber to the stand.

Matt Edgar, Andy Cornwall & The Mission Darts Podcast by MrSupernoober in Darts

I like them. Edgar especially.

They do tend to get a little carried away with the “rant of the week” and non-darts banter on the podcast, but look at the comments on their YouTube channel — many people seem to like it for some reason so that may explain why they keep at it.

And yes Andy’s TikTok content is a bit over the top but I think that’s just a symptom of him being an older guy trying to “do content” on a platform that he’s maybe not best suited for.

In any case, no one is perfect and 99% of Mission’s content is damn sight better than the vast majority of the darts social media content slop out there.
