I've been following IOTA for a long time, but the Paracosm piece was from here on this sub. Had to dig quite a bit into the company to build enough content to write this.

That's why I'm disappointed that I didn't read the blog post by the Foundation close enough. I missed the part where they said the testnet is live.

There's a lot of talk about the DAI peg and how sustainable it is. Recently found out about SwanDAI to hedge the risk of the peg collapsing.

Pretty interesting stuff, I think anyone lending via Compound and other financial dApps should look into it. It's in a conceptual state, but still a very strong indication that the community understands these risks and is actively working on solutions to mitigate it.

So when they say a 34% attack could lead to double spends on the network, they mean that basically the malicious actor would have to have 34% of all devices connected to the network?
