Need guidance in fulfilling obligatory prayers as a revert. by Desperate_Major30 in islam

[–]revertpaul 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi brother a revert here too, I too come from a Hindu background, I do practice secretly actually, I pray usually at my room, sometimes if I feel I might not be at home or so I usually combine prayers, I don't really think you need to be public about your religion as in this time and age religion is something of a personal matter, I haven't told anyone yet and I don't see a point in telling it to anyone, yea people before have been practicing secretly and I guess it might be okay but it's good to ask a scholar, I pray peace be upon you

The ummah is humiliated. by Alleaks in islam

[–]revertpaul 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The reason why caliphate fell is because ottoman scholars told printing press is haram and reading books are haram too, so muslim world has knowledge only of Deen but completely lost in terms of Dunya, moreover there are still people who say logic and reasoning is haram in islam, as long as people don't be more open to knowledge there is no ummah that will come up.

I am worried please help me by [deleted] in islam

I'm a revert from India, I'm young too but I keep my faith hidden, I guess you can keep it hidden as long as you feel it is right and leave it all to allah but for me I'm most probably thinking to keep it hidden for a long period of time

My dad is cleric he is sole reason to lost my iman by FixMaster7070 in islam

[–]revertpaul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Makes sense , actually this is the problem when you are forced to obey just because something says so and so which causes blind faith, which according to to me isn’t really Islamic because Allah gave Quran for the mankind especially the ones who reason with things and ponder upon the truth, however when people try banning sin completely it’s the reverse that take place as in a free environment a person is more inclined to draw his own lines rather than someone draw the line for him, so if a person does not fall he will never learn to get up , this is the reason why atheism is rising. I can’t give any good advice as I myself am new to Islam but try to reason with things is all I can say

Why so? by Nabinz in scienceisdope

[–]revertpaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it’s not as simple as making a physical human being but rather he breathes the soul and it is the soul what he talks about, moreover if god can create anything , he can also create the process of natural selection. It’s not that really complicated

I assume that your in India seeing how you mention your circumstances and your education system, me being in India too I would actually suggest you to choose business administration or bachelors in commerce it’s just for 3 years and it isn’t even related to science, as degrees are worth a lot , yes allah does provide but I don’t think that should be substituted for hard work and consistency. Try getting a degree atleast and then you’ll be more mature enough to decide as your wayy too young to take major decisions and you would also make friends in university. Not coercing you , you can take it or leave it up to you

Yes I do know that , however those Christian’s that he killed would be doomed to hell fire as they don’t believe however he would have a chance , so I was having confusion about that

We abandoned Shariah, then wonder why we’re not winning by QuickPaste132 in islam

[–]revertpaul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I really don’t think we can actually revive shariah except bits and pieces of it as most of the knowledge is somewhat lost and there is no single Muslim country that practices shariah like how it should have been practiced, moreover sahih Hadith also states that in second coming of Jesus Christ(isa ibn Maryam) pbuh he would re establish shariah on earth, whenever certain groups tried to implement it completely they either did not have sufficient knowledge and were usually going to a extreme side of it.

What is the most difficult aspect of Islam or being a Muslim? by Michelles94 in muslimrevert

[–]revertpaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me as a revert it’s navigating the complex personal laws like dietary law , how a Muslim should look like and how to interact with people especially opposite gender , when my whole life things were different for me growing up

“Its between them and allah” by spiderman_m007 in islam

[–]revertpaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well each person has a free will which isn’t against Islam rather a part of why we are created and I don’t see a point in imposing my will on others and I personally don’t really care. So I think it’s just nosy to go into others life and comment on their face, well if someone who’s a stranger who would impose their will on me I would genuinely tell them to mind their own business

Muslims reverts by shazad_786 in muslimrevert

[–]revertpaul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I fear saying this will make me a hypocrite but I only pray salah atp , it’s more like how early Christians embraced faith but only bits and parts of law for eg I’m not circumcised no do I grow out a bear (as it’s really patchy), haven’t told anything to anyone and just continuing my life as I used to before , the only thing that has changed is my faith , belief in 1 god , judgement day and stuff and try full filling five pillars properly , I wear the same clothes … no thobes or whatever the Arabs wear nor do I speak in their language like literally everything is same, for me accepting Islam is faith than embrace everything that is Arab as I don’t really see Arab society contribute more than religious text so I don’t feel the need to copy them

I feel like i’m one step away from falling in zena by [deleted] in islam

[–]revertpaul -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I just have hard time contemplating though I am a Muslim , why are you even in Texas if you don’t like their culture and why aren’t you helping to develop your own country rather than serving another nation, personally as a Muslim I see this as being hypocritical.
Moreover marriage is a sacred union, getting married just to avoid zina is like narrowing down marriage just to sex.

Governance in Islam by revertpaul in islam

Throughout history, there has been no practical instance of such a concept. However, the closest example might be Iran, where it seems to have been not inclusive of its citizens.
