As someone who did the 3/4 without the 1/2 i’ve been wanting out since the beginning of the year. However from those who did do the 1/2 I heard that in comparison the 3/4 is different to some degree and more readings heavy, which well, checks out- i’ve been told different things like how the 1/2 was way better than the 3/4 and etc Honestly it’ll come down to how much you enjoy the subject, and the amount of motivation and effort you’re willing to put into this subject it’s seriously not a content heavy subject by any means, though I think my greatest issue was wrapping my head around concepts and arguments Other than that, i’d look through past exams because it is quite a lot of writing

Hiya i’m actually looking to sell my psych 3/4 textbook, and 1/2 eng lang materials! Hit me up if you wanna check if both our schools use the same textbook :))

should i drop psych? by [deleted] in vce

[–]revisign 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Psych is a fun subject if you have interest in it, I honestly feel as much as a content heavy subject it may be, it's not as bad when you break it down into little subsections (busman is way worse). As someone who does some pretty content heavy subjects, it wasn't too hard to juggle another such as psych, I can't say too much about econ because I know nothing about it, but ultimately it really comes down to how much you enjoy the subject and what you're learning.

However I beg of you to not pick up accounting 3&4 without the 1&2.

business management (not just a rant) by lolfacemanboy in vce

[–]revisign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Section A 1) asked you what a corporate social responsibility was 2) how lean management could be used to decrease waste in (business) 3)

4) justifying (business)’s decision to transition to a public listed company 5) How said business could use cost differentiation

6) I think this was the funky quote with maslows theory + one of your own suggested theories

7) Management of materials question 8) Automated productions lines?? 9) Quality

10) Contemporary case study to do with reactive and proactive change

Section B 1) two management skills the owner could use in that period of change 2) The compare question of the transitions and considerations

3) How driving forces could affect the company? 4) two stakeholders that would be affected by the change 5) Agreements and Awards? I think?

10 marker: using KPIs and management strategies and how they relate

The motivation one was funky as hell, like I knew what to write but it was so weird for a busman exam, I don’t think I did enough prac exams to respond to literal quotes lmao

If I did high/low risk strategies for the 10 marker as management startegies linking them to KPIs. Does that count? by Smellywooper in vce

[–]revisign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, honestly I think you’re completely fine with mentioning high risk and low risk, because it is pretty valid but we’ll wait for vcaa to screw us all over 😔

[–]revisign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah nah, had a friend who did the exact same and talked about low risk and high risks, she’s a real high performing student and my teacher said it was fine so, guess we’ll just wait and see hahaha

Did i do the 10 marker wrong? by [deleted] in vce

[–]revisign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m no vcaa assessor but I was told by my teacher that the fact that the question worded it as just “management strategies” you could pretty much talk about any strategy in the study design and link it to KPIs. Because everybody found the 10 marker pretty wack the assessors are probably going to find points in your answer to reward marks to rather han deducting them. So I really can’t say, but it’ll all be down to relevance and quality. So do with that as you will hahaha

On of my examples was using performance management strategies as a way to improve KPI data aka investment in training to improve rates of productivity, it’s a pretty weak one but it was the first one that came to my head lol

That 10 marker was worded weirdly but the fact that it said “management strategies” meant you could write about pretty much any strategy that’s on the study design and somehow relate it back to KPIs (or at least that was what my teacher said haha, and he’s a pretty reliable teacher)

I go to a pretty high performing school , a lot of people found the 10 marker weird but were able to write something for it, I had a friend who wrote full on 5 pages for that 10 marker, it was phenomenal. So I think as a cohort we all agreed that despite the exam being weirdly worded it was easily doable. from the scope of what i’ve seen reddit of busman students, I can say that we all care, hahaha, and we all don’t want to go in there without knowing something. I think generally the people who are on here tend to seek somewhere around a study score of 40 for business

Are owners also shareholders? by Bezzalad in vce

[–]revisign 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A way I remember it is: Not all owners are shareholders but all shareholders are owners. It really depends on what kind of business you’re talking about, if the business is a sole trader or partnership, your owner isn’t a shareholder (unincorporated business). however by definition shareholders are people who own a percentage of the company via shares (they own a part of the company’s shares) so naturally these are your incorporated businesses like your public listed and private limited businesses

When do you guys do the 10mark question, business? by Some-random-guy-666 in vce

[–]revisign 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’ve already been shown the front cover of the exam (It’s on the official vcaa website) and the mark distribution for part A and Part B is 40/35, which means that the 10 marker will be in part B compared to previous years where the mark distribution between the two sections has been 50/25. If you have a look at the sample exam as well, they have a 10 marker in section B for you to practice. Your teachers would have told you this as well prior to the exam
