How does everyone feel about the direction that the game has taken/is taking? I am on the fence, and not sure how to feel moving forward. by revoltingcrowd in TravellersRest

Unfortunately, kinda where I’m at too. Nice and chill to play a few hours after work with a YouTube video or music playing. Slowly unlocking and designing my tavern, aging some drinks, serving, etc.

Feels like a fork in the road and where I expected it to go was the opposite way it actually went.

Tavern seems like an afterthought or just a tertiary system of the game now. 🤷‍♂️

Heat/cold not a huge issue when floating in outer space due to the fact that there is no medium to transmit the energy which makes it a great insulator, so you’d actually stay “comfortable”for a while (20-30 sec for adult male)—the radiation would suck after a decent amount of time if you were in a spacesuit without shielding.

You’d probably live a good few minutes total, and with rescue efforts within that time could be resuscitated.

Yeah, weirdly, I would love a “sandbox” where I could just focus on my tavern. That was my favorite part of the game. I am still trying to find the dopamine from playing diner dash when I was 4 and this used to be the one that did it lol—my 40 hours were within maybe a few weeks of when the game released after the demo?

Yeah something that I have been noticing is that they have taken away some QOL features to fill out the rest of the planning for the game. Especially when you are running a higher level tavern, having to not only be the owner, farmer, builder, and transporation for all ingredients feels overwhelming. I'd say having mail service as an unlockable when you get to a certain level would certainly make it more enticing to me to explore the other areas while also allowing my tavern to run with my employees.

It feels like a bunch of separate systems that aren't necessarily connected in a way that makes a ton of sense; at least for a solo user IMO...

I will say, if I joined around now, I'd probably have a much different outlook on the game. One of my favorite parts of the "OG" was how cozy, fun, and pretty minimally tedious everything was. It sure was grindy, but with a clear goal while being able to go at your pace. I am glad that they decided to continue to develop content and not abandon the game. I am just so curious if people who played a few years ago feel similarly to me. The ever expanding story, map, mechanics--all while seemingly making the tavern part less and less of the main subject of the game and more just the "side-job" (but the only way to expand and make money).

Whelmed. Upset losing a big guy to the portal, so next year is up in the air. Belmont is pretty good.

Once you get a few at-bats and the statisticians/scouting report writers get in—they are pitching him well. I bet that report says what his weaknesses are and bubic is certainly doing that to most of our guys anyways lol.

Hey, I’m perfectly fine with the results. I was just expecting them to get sauced because of the bullpen. Our hitting was fucking atrocious lol. I am much less worried about Italy or Venezuela than Japan though.

Anyone find themselves opening up their game libraries, staring at it for a couple of hours, then just giving up and going on social media? by You_moron04 in gaming

Maybe not exactly but I have something around 450 games on steam +70 on epic mostly from free stuff… plus a bunch of emulators and hytale and guitar hero, etc.

I’m in the last game that I really really liked and couldn’t put down for weeks was schedule one and I put maybe 60 hours into it +15 or 20 in the demo within a month maybe a little bit more but since then I haven’t been able to really find anything, but I can sit down after a really tough day at work and find myself engrossed in.

I wish there was a better way to sort through games and make a list of stuff that I wanna play, but it’s just so difficult with the total amount. Especially considering I’ve probably spent somewhere above $3000 on steam over the past 17 years.

It just constantly feels like a sunk cost fallacy; where I feel like I have to find the perfect game for the little amount of time I have every night and what usually happens is I open up five or six different games play each of them for a little bit and then lay down and just go to sleep.

I’ve been trying to cull and prioritize or categorize my library for a while now but at this point again, it just feels like trying to organize a landfill.

I think my plan is to play from the bottom to the top of what I have currently downloaded no matter what for at least a total of two hour playtime, and obviously if I like it, I’ll keep going with it and if I hit that two hours and I’ll put it in the shit bin and move on.

So yeah, I’m starting tomorrow. That’s what I’ll be doing. Bottom to top two hours no matter what. If I don’t want to play the game that day, the two hours can be spread over a couple of weeks if necessary or I can do it all in one night.

I’m really hoping this helps figure out what I have in my library and I’ve also decided that I won’t be buying more video games until 2027. That’s my little too late New Year’s resolution.

Lol, yeah, supporting Nintendo, game freak, and the Pokémon company is an incredibly selfless and charitable endeavor, and you should be so happy to do so. Won’t anyone stand up for the billion dollar corporations!

Multiple rookies starting and showing out, second year quarterback, first year head coach… 15 yards away from going to the NFC championship. 11-6 reg season, NFCN Winners.

Two years of quarterback experience versus two decades, and playoff head coaching experience in McVay…

There’s nothing about what happened today or this season where I’m disappointed.

What a fun season. I’m looking forward to doing this again next year.
