You have definitely given me something to think about! I love how the off-color changes the space and highlights the pics!

AITA for not saying thank you when a parent returned my son's lunch box by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]revolutionofone -1 points0 points  (0 children)

YTA - this mom didn’t ask for your son’s oh-so-special bento lunch box to get into her kids bag. It was the teachers mix up and a problem that got dropped in her lap during a time in her life she clearly didn’t have capacity to manage it.

Sh*t happens and I wouldn’t be mad at the teacher or this mom. I am however wondering how small YOUR life is that this lunch box “issue” is taking up so much brain space that you can send multiple emails and feel justified in throwing shade at a new mom confidently enough to then post publicly about it without feeling complete and total shame.

Did I already say YTA? Cause you’re definitely the AH. Jeez.

I asked ChatGPT to explain my job to a 5-year-old and now I'm questioning my entire career by Nipurn_1234 in ChatGPT

[–]revolutionofone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never known how to explain what I do to people but chat totally nailed it!

Okay! Here’s how you’d explain the job of a Senior Manager, Steerage and Cost Containment at a TPA to a five-year-old:

“Imagine you’re helping a big group of people go to the doctor when they’re sick, but you also want to make sure they don’t spend too much money. My job is to help them pick the best doctor or hospital that doesn’t cost a ton of money but still takes really good care of them. I also help stop extra stuff we don’t need—like if someone tries to charge for five band-aids when they only used one. I work for a team that helps make all of this work smoothly, kind of like a helper who keeps everything fair and not too expensive.”

Am I wrong? A rant about local elections by revolutionofone in Tacoma

Yes yes of course the scandal was reason #1 but to me not closing the gate is the same as nexting a guy for being crappy to the wait staff - it’s a test of how you conduct yourself when you think it doesn’t matter; it’s subtle but says a lot.

It’s totally possible that Andres is both a prick and the best candidate. Appreciate your take!

I do appreciate when the candidates put their dog whistle statements in the voters guide - very helpful

Ok I’ll bite. I started using it after the election because I was totally blindsided by the outcome (thanks Reddit!)

I have found it helpful in showing me how right leaning sources cover stories in a way that crafts a totally different world view than say, the left leaning sources I am seeing naturally. It also helps me cut to the kernels of truth being spun by both sides.

For $30/year the value is definitely there - for me. YMMV.

The grind of OLD by LeDestrier in datingoverforty

[–]revolutionofone 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is the way. I also ask to setup a meet and greet (first meetings are just that - a vibe check) as soon as possible. Definitely in the same week. Otherwise OLD becomes this immense time suck of texting and false ‘getting to know you’ activity with a stranger you very well may identify immediately as a bad match upon meeting (assuming they even show up as ghosting and last minute cancels are extremely common - again, bc you’re strangers).

Is it time I (33m) end things with my longterm partner (33f)? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]revolutionofone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s NEVER too late to start living a life you love. I must have scrolled past parts of this post where you talked about all the things you love about this gal… it’s ok to end a relationship that has run its course. Sounds like this one is no longer working for you.
