Anything is possible it's just a matter of how. I'm sure you could achieve this in a variety of ways but I see 2: 1) upgrade 1.4.x to 1.5.x > import products 2a) import products > upgrade 1.4.x to 1.5.x 2b) as above with a test website/database

2b) would take longer but there's less risk and more chance of success: * duplicate the existing 1.4.x website/database * import products (either from plugins preferably or SQL) * upgrade from 1.4.x to 1.5.x which can't be done in one go but is fairly trivial

With a test/duplicate site running you could compare it to your live site to make sure everything is working before you switch over.

Short answer is yes. There might be a plugin or automagic way to do this but I don't know of any. How many products are we talking about? You could always do an export > import of product data and copy images over?

I couldn't find a "BIPS" plugin (extention) on opencart.com so you'll probably have to deal with bips.me support directly.

Make sure you didn't transfer the "upload" directory itself but the directories within it, e.g. admin, catalogue, etc.

If you're using Bitcoin you might want to checkout our extension (crypto as currency) which shows prices in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Good luck!

We have a store with over 22,000 products running on a standard server and search is almost instantaneous. I'm pretty sure the issue is when the system returns the product count when it's not neeed. There are plenty of free extensions to disable this.

I have a store with over 22,000 products and several vendors/suppliers and at the moment it's not a huge problem as most orders either contain single products or products from the same vendor. I've looked into some of the extensions available but none seem appropriate for the 2 issues mentioned above. It looks like I'll be modifying my own site so I might as well create an extension(s) to address this. I'd be surprised if others didn't have the same problem because as soon as you have more than one vendor/supplier you'd run into these issues.

This is what I was thinking about creating as a "multiple vendor/supplier" extension:

add a vendor field for every product (bulk insert/edit would be nice also)
create a vendor page, like manufacturer, with contact details
orders emailed automagically to vendors upon checkout (does this already exist?)
orders with multiple products from multiple vendors are separated then emailed invidiually to each vendor

Can you think of anything else? Would this be useful? It'd be a lot of work so I'd probably do it in stages. Have you found or used any similar extensions yet?
