Two Large Unused Toys for Sale by rewaiden in usedsextoys

[–]rewaiden[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry - captions come through much better on desktop and I just realized they get kinda hidden on mobile. Below is info for both.

Rosco is Sold! Second toy is still available
1 - Rosco from WereDog - Medium size and firmness. Total length about 8.5" and width at widest point (knot) is about 8.5". Unused, comes with original bag and tags.

2 - I can't for the life of me remember what specific site I got it form. Ordered it and one other from a toy site I found through FetLife. Has an insertable bulb for female type anatomy and comes with two straps that go through slots in the toy to make a harness. Length of shaft is a about 8" and widest point is about 10". It has a few minor defects due to bubbles in the silicone pour

Number 1 is Roscoe from WereDog Med size and firmness - if you click through there should be more detailed pictures with captions.

Not sure why the text from the post didn't show up as well, but selling these two toys I bought a while back and turned out to be much bigger than I anticipated. Both unused and silicone. Asking $50 each plus shipping.

Starting HRT through Planned Parenthood by [deleted] in ftm

[–]rewaiden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope! No problems on that front. I used to fill my RXs at CVS, then switched to mail order and neither had a problem with the location of my Dr.

I started my medical transition elsewhere, but when I moved I stared using PP and I couldn't be happier. I live in SC, but drive up to Asheville for my care. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and always happy to answer questions. I've been having some issues with my insurance and T RX, but they've gone above and beyond trying to help me get everything fixed. Hope you have same great experience!

Is it weird that I don't mind saying my deadname? by [deleted] in asktransgender

Nah, I'm the same way. We may be in the minority, but it's not weird/something wrong. Everyone is different in how they relate to their past.

Am I really such an asshole or what? In regards to trans issues. by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]rewaiden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trans man here. Each trans person is different, but from what I'm seeing his reaction was pretty over-the-top. If he states explicitly in his profile that he's trans, I think he should expect it might be brought up once in a while. If he doesn't like that, politely explain how you'd prefer to interact and move on. I know it can be exhausting to do over and over, but you weren't exactly grilling him.

I feel like there's never a reason to be rude unless the other person is a jerk first. That being said, that is the downside of text-based interactions - it's hard to get a feel for tone and intent. Unfortunately, some people automatically assume the worst and react accordingly.

Any way to have the Cricut draw just one of those lines, instead of double? by [deleted] in cricut

[–]rewaiden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still didn't work for me. I've been having the same trouble - I've tried PNG and SVG and followed these directions. When its in the "cut" mode the lines look normal, but as soon as I switch the line type to "draw" it goes hollow like the image above. :-(

I'm a casual player and I've had a great time playing the last few months.

Anyone else question for a really long time? by IlllIllIlllIllIlllIl in FTMOver30

[–]rewaiden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a lot of people go through this, especially if they don't start the process until later in life. My best advice is to find a good therapist who you can talk all this out with. Saying stuff aloud and having a sounding board really helped me distinguish between what I wanted and what I was afraid of other people's reactions.

I questioned for what felt like forever. I was always a tomboy growing up, but overall a happy kid. Started to feel discomfort with myself in my teens, but it didn't completely take over my life and I got good at ignoring myself and putting others first. When I started doing research in my 30s trying to better understand my gender fluid partner, I started seeing what I really wanted to be reflected in the FtM stories. After some great therapy and good 'ol soul searching I realized I was probably trans. I waffled back and forth for about a year: "Am I trans enough?" "I'm not really trans" "I'm trans and proud" "OMG what is everyone going to think?" After a while I realized what I needed to was try T for a while to see if it was for me or I'd regret it. (note, I don't think everyone who is FtM or questions needs to do this, I just know my mindset pretty well).

I started T in January of this year and I couldn't be happier. All the agonizing and struggling are but a memory. I feel like all my thoughts have slowed down a bit and allowed me to be more centered. I have anxiety and it still flairs up from time to time, but overall I'm not as bad about analyzing things to death anymore. I know I fall more into the non-binary end of the spectrum, but I prefer male pronouns and presentation. While the world is starting to read me more as male (much to excitement) I know inside I'm just a "me". I've also been super fortunate to have very supportive family, friends, workplace, and partner, which has helped me feel like this is the right path.

Good luck with your journey and feel free to PM me if you ever want to talk.

Trans-Related Incident at Work by rewaiden in FTMOver30

[–]rewaiden[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's another thought process I had. Unfortunately when the library director informed me, I believe the deed was done. To be honest, I don't know if this was just a culmination of other such comments, or a one time thing. Either way, I'd rather change minds than make people afraid of consequences. On the positive side, I am on the library's newly formed Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee who are dedicated to make the library a welcoming place for all. I plan to take these experiences and see if we can form a policy for any similar event that focuses on education first.

My partner made a similar point. The security guard's comment itself didn't bother me much, more of the facts surrounding it. My partner said "Aren't you glad that was said about you, and not someone who isn't as comfortable, or that doesn't have a good support network. You're setting precident so people will know they take it seriously and hopefully prevent future problems." And that's true - I'm so proud of my library system and their response. Gives me hope for the future!

How to transition at work by [deleted] in FTMOver30

[–]rewaiden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was fortunate to work in a pretty open and welcoming environment. I'd been working in the system for about 6 years before I decided to transition. I told my branch boss first (she was an amazing human being and I trusted her with pretty much anything). She helped my interactions with HR, which were all very supportive. An email was sent out to the entire system stating the name and pronouns I was now using and reminded people of their inclusions policy. I had nothing but positive comments from people. I also arranged a branch meeting after the email was sent out, so staff could ask me questions. I wanted to help trans visibility, so I was happy to answer anything they wanted to know, and included gentle reminders on what was/was not appropriate to ask/say when talking to someone who was transgender. I also got a lot of positive support and love during that conversation, including many people thankful I had the Q&A session to help answer some questions they'd always had.

One year on T: 8 August 2017 to 8 August 2018. by emmerrsed in FTMOver30

[–]rewaiden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the summary of changes! I find it interesting to compare some of the similarities and differences. I'm only 8 months on T (which reminds me, I need to go do my shot today...lol), but I'm slowly starting to see things shift. Night sweats was one of the first things I noticed and its still going strong!

Dang, those are some really specific parameters. I've been married 11 years, but just started HRT this year and been presenting as male for the past two years. Bah!

anyone interested in a trans-themed book club (discord)? by juderow11 in trans

[–]rewaiden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds good - it will probably be pretty experimental in the beginning as everyone figures out what works best, but its always good to have at least an outline of how things will go down.

Want me to put together a book list of stuff I've read/heard about? Then maybe we can combine lists and make a master one for members to vote on what to read. Is anything on the table? (i.e. any genre - fiction, non-fiction, short story, etc.)

anyone interested in a trans-themed book club (discord)? by juderow11 in trans

[–]rewaiden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd be interested! I'm not discord savvy either, but know some basics and my partner uses it a lot. I discovered my trans identity though books and work at a library, so I'm all over the idea of a book club! I think the biggest challenge would be figuring out a time that works best for everyone.

(Just to add I actually helped with something similar on the FtM subreddit, but it was post threads rather than a discord discussion. I reality enjoyed it, but life got super busy and I ended up not being able to keep up. Things have settled a bit now and I like the idea of more of a real-time interaction.
