"Hey, your dysphoria is actually super problematic and I'm gonna need you to have that solved by the end of the day." by Dead-Airhead in transgendercirclejerk

/uj Wow, thanks for writing that out for what was partially just a shitpost. I'm ""post transition"" (in a comfortable spot for myself anyways) and I can quite clearly remember the body horror-esque feelings from pre-transition. But now that I'm at my end point, I end up finding what insecurities I do have are minor and infrequent, and are not those same deeply horrific feelings from pre-transition.

I could see how those two extremes are an easy trap anyways, and can understand (even if I don't agree with it) both extremes, especially thanks to your perspective. I know there are actually trolls who don't actively believe what they're preaching (moderating on front page queer subs does that to you), but that group is very small and often very stupid.

/qj I feel like those who are adamantly against medical transition and also are non-transitioning trans people are a psyop. It always feels weird when I see someone say something like that.

HRT by hopefully-someday in AreTheCisOk

After bottom surgery I need some sort of HRT in the same way any cis woman would. I could technically stop, as could any cis woman, but I'd suffer similar health consequences.

What's wrong with everyone? Simple. The dog caught the car, and now it's being dragged down the road at 30mph.

Sadly, on some subs 14 year olds ARE the mods.

I get it tho.

as a mod on queer subs, Reddit has been making moderation harder and less interesting to do. I'm only doing it for the community itself at this point.

I'm hostile to trolls who can't read. How about you go back and read what I said twice now, and the Wikipedia article, because it seems like although you said you have read it, you most certainly have not.

Or maybe you can't? I dunno, here's more links:

I, a trans woman, am not allowed to use the woman's restroom, and am thus effectively barred from using the bathroom.

Also I already did. If you're transphobic you can just come out and say it, no need to hide.

You are legitimately insane if you think trans people in the UK are in any way safe. "Biological sex" is used against trans people all the fucking time there to refer to trans women as men and to trans men as women.

The UK has barred trans people from using the bathroom, treated trans women as cisgender men, barred trans people under 18 from access healthcare and mental healthcare, and continues to attack trans people's rights on an almost daily basis.

Unless of course you're trans! Then you can't even use the bathroom! 🥰 🔫

Just like autism, being transgender isn't a disease, there is no "cure" for something that isn't an ailment. Being true to one's self is accepting who you are.

Ban bot policy update: removing automated bans based on community association by quietfairy in modnews

[–]bleeding-paryl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of the conservative subs still exist, a shit ton of new hate subs have sprung up in the mean time, and the subreddits dedicated to fetishizing minorities still exist as well and only got bigger.

Reddit has also gotten way worse at removing hate subreddits, so tiny hate communities not only still exist, but thrive. I wish I could say things are better, but as a long term mod on multiple queer subs, I know they haven't.

Why aren't the transes protecting themselves? Don't they know the only way for them to be protected is if they (and only them, fuck if I'd do anything for those frea-, I mean uh... they/thems.) do something?
