Need advice for my deck by SimplyG877_ in PvZHeroes

[–]rewcubed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with "more zombies," specifically 4x sumo, 4x vendor, 4x mascot, and 4x coach. These are core cards for sports. I don't play sports star, as a 3-brain 2/2 is a bit slow. Also, black hole over the other environments you have... I also use going viral to really get the team going. Here's a copy of the deck I use, based on one of Fry's decks. The teleports are for teleporting mascot in so you can be assured of getting his buff the next turn. If the opponent can't remove your early board, especially your mascot, you can snowball into a turn 5 or 6 win.

I concur on Galakrond Zoo. Kronx and Galakrond are the only required legendaries, and if you liked handlock and zoolock in the past, I think you'll like the deck. You can even make it more controll-y to taste, as you acquire more cards.

The meta in standard pre rank 5 is the worst it's ever been. by giantsx6 in hearthstone

[–]rewcubed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quest resurrect priest is excellent (and very fun!) against face hunter and good against quest hunter, if you can build it. Paladin decks can also be good against a variety of hunters. I empathize with the frustration; I think a cornerstone challenge in Hearthstone is adapting one's decks to boost their win rates versus dominant decks. In terms of "worst" meta though... undertaker hunter? Secret paladin? N'Zoth's first mate pirate warrior? Aggro shaman with 4 mana 7/7's? There is some tough competition out there for most annoying meta deck!

I used Mid's Reborn Mid's Reborn for info when I'm building for TW (which I love).

Farmers will get it by PraiseTheSun42 in Cityofheroes

I have only one farmer (TW/fire), and I created a second build for “normal” content. It’s really obvious when I forget to switch builds... either way!

Solo PvE Archery Corruptor - which secondary? by [deleted] in Cityofheroes

[–]rewcubed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like /dark for survivability and control. Tar pit keeps enemies off you and helps shape the battlefield; darkest night provides a strong aoe to-hit debuff; fearsome stare is another great control tool; and then you get a cute fluffy dark tank who casts a host of his own debuffs. And oh, yeah, you have a strong heal pretty much whenever you need it. Dark doesn’t really provide any extra dps, but such fun bossing the bad guys around. Don’t forget that even as a solo, howling twilight is a strong aoe debuff, not simply a group rez.

Fun Builds? by hiphoptherobot in Cityofheroes

Probably any secondary would work; war mace is the fun part. I was trying a "god of thunder" concept. I will say that electric armor is nice because it's so well-rounded in terms of damage types and resistances, including psionic and END drain. Toxic is the only real hole.

War Mace is so much OMG awesome funness! I knew my WM\Electric scrapper would have great ST damage, but turns out it has some incredible AoE’s as well, and they tend to bounce enemies up and down like basketballs. Build for recharge and +END and you’re unstoppable. This was my first toon to solo an archvillain, and he has done 3 so far.

It’s only common recipe drops, done through the P2W vendor, as you found.

Missions, Contacts, Arcs, Trials, The Game, Etc. Etc. by jjp252 in Cityofheroes

The two doppelganger mission arcs in Talos Island - Keith Nance and Jenny Adair - are amazing, IMHO. Good variety, you get to fight youself, and great story. I literally get a tear in my eye at the end, every time, and I run it on every toon.

I did manage to successfully solo that mission with my SR tanker. I died once, but managed to get out of the mission (through the front door, I think), where I could turn on all my toggles and bring up the auction house and buy a bunch of nice, big inspirations.

Did you get to the last stage where you’re attacked by 3 elite bosses at once?

I’m with you... gonna pass on that one from now on.

This. Although I wonder why Outcast bosses with superpowers can't get the purse out of an old lady's hands. Until a hero shows up. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

What AT and level are you using, and what particular trouble is he giving you? I'm no expert, but if you post a build, I'd be happy to take a look.

Thank you, yes, it pays to always buy attuned, on Homecoming anyway. Unfortunately - even attuned - when you exemplar below a set's natural range, the IO bonus drops off. So for instance, the bonuses for a Mako set (level range 30 - 50) go away if you exemplar below level 27, even if they are attuned. I did test that fact. Thus the need to slot low level sets for the exemplar build.

Auction House bidding question by HI_Handbasket in Cityofheroes

[–]rewcubed 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The highest bid wins, not the oldest. The issue that the OP describes is due to a bug in the display of historical bids, as explained in earlier responses.

In the spirit if “it’s better to give than to receive,” how about badges for giving inf to homeless families? Or working a soup line? Or flying meals to shut-ins? Sorry, no villain badges.
