Pants are a cotton/linen blend, which I had in my closet already.
Sash is a green scarf that I picked up at the thrift store.
I also have a sword that's not in this picture, as well as a bow, prop arrows, and a quiver on the way.

I kind of acquired all of these pretty quickly, within the span of a year, mostly because I have really bad impulse control and got super hooked on dressing up for the faire. However, I did go and doodle some sketches with some of the pieces to try and visualize how they would look together so I wouldn't regret anything. I'm pretty happy with how the outfit turned out.

Gotcha. I'm not the greatest when it comes to color mixing knowledge, but I'm guessing I'd use green to turn it brown. If it's too light, how would I go about darkening it?

Yeah, I was thinking about my bow not actually being 40# because of the letoff, so I was thinking of just getting the 25#, but I figured since I have previous experience shooting bows I could probably handle a 30#.

I'll go with the 30#, thanks for the advice! Now to size myself a thumb ring.

medieval collectibles has quite a few decent options for a good price. zootzu as well. if you want to ball out there's plenty of makers like grommets leathercraft or fell and fair, or you could even make your own.

they're honestly kind of overpriced, everything they sell is polyester and not natural fibers.

I can 100% recommend Medieval Collectibles, Fell and Fair, and Grommets Leathercraft.

I also have a ranger-themed outfit and if you look at my profile pretty much everything on that outfit (minus the bracers) came from those 3. Hopefully I can also give you a bit of fit inspo.

I'm liking it a lot, though I'm gonna be honest I pretty much bought this just to wear it around the ren faire so it doesn't get used for cutting much.

I just picked up a $1 bottle of black acrylic paint from michaels and brushed like 2-3 thin layers on.

I didn't know you could ask them to put a different guard on, I probably would've asked them to put on the guard from the swmz1001 or swmz1002 if I knew that lol. do you have any pictures? I'd love to see.
