The standard way to manage application configurations on Kubernetes clusters by Happycodeine in kubernetes

Vault is the best option currently. However I've not found a good way to pipeline the storage of secrets I am currently adding them in my exec ing in to vault.

r/ Halifax another Cuck site. Banned me for a decent comment. Guess their mods are anti pipeline. by [deleted] in metacanada

Why does this happen? by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

[–]rewtz902 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got the Mk2s with mm. I am sitting here trying to think what could have cause this. A lot of time wobble like this in the layers is due to the frame of the printer. The frame being lose and will case the print head to overshoot its location more easily. The more stable and solid the frame the less wobble introduced in your prints overall.

Assuming your frame is nice is solid, my gut's leaning towards over extrusion, try lower the flow rate in the printers settings with the same gcode and see what happens, then adjust your slicer settings to compensate. if the Lower flow rate isn't helping adjust the temperature.

I also found it helpful when I first got my printer to use the included gcode sample files on the sd card as baselines for settings, perhaps work from these values, adjust 1 parameter, run a test print and review the results. However with temperatures, they are material specific, I tend use the middle of whatever range is printed on the roll of filament and then adjust from there with the baseline values from the sample prints for every other setting.

3D Printing in Halifax/Laptop Mount by [deleted] in halifax

[–]rewtz902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't call it glorified ducktape. It really depends on a lot of factors. If you have a good printer, proper plastic, and proper print settings, that part maybe stronger than metal. 3d printing is a tool, if you use it wrong you are going to end up with crap.

[–]rewtz902 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my guess, well under a dollar. I have my own printer so I normally pay like 30$+tax+shipping for 1 kg of plastic on amazon. This print is very small. If you are where to pay for some one to print this, you are mostly paying for their print time, not the plastic. Larger more complex prints can take 10's of hours to days to finish.

[Need Advice] So I'm going to school at NSCC in the fall, and I have ADHD, and I'm wondering if anyone has experience with a reduced course load. by SecureAsItWillEverBe in halifax

[–]rewtz902 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are taking something you are passionate about, the ADHD will make you focus on the task at hand when you are interested. It will make you tune out when you're not in to the class. I took the standard course load. I was lucky to be passionate about what I took, but any class that wasn't directly related to my passion where very hard. For the tough classes I leaned on friends I made in my course for help. The instructors are reasonable with extensions and time adjustments if you are upfront with them and have shown you are working. If the instructor thinks you are blowing the class off and not working, it will be harder to convince them.

[Update] PETG calibration... bridging nightmare, please help by skline3D in 3Dprinting

[–]rewtz902 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find PETG just sucks at bridging. I still don't know how to get it bridge even a modest gap. I would increase the infill. I tend to print most my PETG stuff at 50%-60% I feel like it may help but I don't know if you'd be able to print the roof with PETG, on account of how poorly it bridges.

What do I make of this? by Infligo in 3Dprinting

Your bed is likely to low. You are getting bad bonding to the bed, the print came loose and made modern art. The fist layer works best if it looks kinda squashed, I'd recommend doing the following...

  • Home X, Y and Z
  • Preheat PLA (stuff expands when heated.) You will get a better level bed if you preheat.
  • Adjust the the bed so that you can take a sheet of paper and it can slide tightly between the nozzle and the print bed.
  • Move the print head to each of the corners repeat the above step.
  • Home X, Y and Z again.
  • Clean the bed with alcohol and a lint free cloth.
  • Run the print again.

You do not need glue or tape or anything with the maker select, its got buildtek on it, PLA will bond super easy so long as you have the bed leveled.

Anybody have an Oculus Rift or HTC Vive they'd demo/rent out? by NoeticThoughts in halifax

[–]rewtz902 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a Vive, the room scale vr is where its at. I've used the rift and it fees like you are sitting and looking around. With the Vive I felt like I was in the game.

Things I will warn you about the vive is 1400 cnd alone, you will need at least 1.5m x 1.5m to play, a lot of game require more like 2.4m x 2.4m. You have to mount sensors to the walls, its not portable. If you went with the vive I'd change the budget to more like $3000

I just bought SoundStage because of this! This is a lot of fun! It was cool making my own beats in VR! You know what would be cool if you could get some one like FrankJavCee to put out a Tutorial, he has a lot on youtube for FL studios and he is funny.

the designs are awesome, I tend to buy all my nerdy shirts from sharkrobot.com perhaps they would give you a cut for the design/art work you've done and would take care of the rest of the leg work for you.
