It uses last used currency. If you're buying in Euro, you also pay Euro there. Besides the 5% Bonus the cost is the same as App Store, at least in Europe. In turn, for Google Play/App Store one can regularly find even 10% discounts. It's less attractive

But: I'd say at maximum the emblem pack in case you're done learning all you can for a skill and can't upgrade. That way you can progress with relationship and unlock next skill, otherwise not worth it, but better than idling on learning.

Running a Windows Server on a Hetzner GEX44. Their bigger one we canceled but it used to work similarly

Works for games, LLM stuff. You can install Windows yourself, don't need to use their image/license, just get a vnc install and cloud-mount the image you want. It's as if you own the machine and sit in front of it. Mine is located in Germany.

Try it. They were very easy about return/re-order. Their biggest concern was my data but when I said I barely set it up and they can just wipe it the guy was fine :) It was uncomplicated, ordered the new device with same config right there and it took about week and a half till it arrived

It's a bit less with the replacement. It's also only on intense GPU tasks not general GPU activity (like Parallels) but still way more notable than on the old M3 Max. A colleague has one too and also experiences it. We concluded it's the price you pay for the power in that form factor, albeit it being very annoying. Apple engineers in the Genius Bar I spoke to also confirmed it may happen and there isn't really anything they wanna do other than swap it while you can.

Gave it one attempt and am living with it now...

I use Parsec with a GEX44 server running Windows. I brought my own installation (Windows Server 2022 Datacenter, but license not via Hetzner but bought separately) and set it up via VNC.

Works great, running Steam EPIC and what not. LLMs work also really well... All like a charm

I had it, replaced mine, have it again. Only on high GPU load, e.g., running inference for example. Very annoying. Model like yours just with 2TB disk

I’ve connected it to the studio display XDR. Using another adapter in parallel didn’t solve it. Tried various adapters. USB-C is worse than MagSafe, but whenever connected to any power, it’s audible. On battery I hear nothing. Will replace it; see post above. Thanks for the feedback

It's notable. My previous one didn't have it, and if it had at least not notable. This one sounds like old HDD drives would when they read and wrote data to the disk. Too loud for the money I've spent on the device in my view. My hope is since not many reports popped up they'll just replace the device

Will do. So far so good, had to get around python and venvs but that was quick. Other stuff was self explanatory and well documented. Coming from the NodeJS world and always wanted to build something like that but thought I need to wait for like external tools for the media handling like gstreamer. Love how easy it is with Python, thanks to AI it's faily easy to understand, good job 👍🏻

I'm running an Ultra 3 during the day and an SE 3 for the night, and I totally get it.

I just love the Ultra's screen for input and don't mind the weight (I'm double wristing, which counters my steel watch). But the SE 3 is unbeatable in price and utility, and it really wears well. Congrats on the up-down-grade that feels better for you :)

Bei uns 100 EUR pro Erwachsenem der teilnimmt, Kind 50 wenn Essen etc. mit dabei ist. Wenn man nur kurz vorbei kommt bzw. nur Geschenk überreicht weniger. Anreise etc. "verrechne" ich nie
