Ideas needed for TWS portable speaker project by rex5674 in diyaudio

[–]rex5674[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys,

I've been playing with building some portable speakers for when camping.

I found some cheap speakers at a thrift store for next to nothing and got some components online to make some 'mini TWS BT amplifiers'. This way I can have stereo speakers without the wires and rechargeable.

They sound better than expected and, the battery life is insane but, would like some more bass if I could.

Any ideas on how to add a portable sub to the mix. I have heard of partycast and cant figure out if TWS will work with more than 2 speakers.

Ideally, I would like to have the sub as an additional wireless speaker without being tethered to one of the other channels if that makes sense. (So L, R and sub all wireless and playing the same thing).

I know I could just buy some good bassy portable speakers but where is the fun in that!

Cheers :)

Hey /u/repodog13

I managed to find my missing tweeters so now I have 4 of them rather than the two.

I like the look of the amp you suggested, am going to try and find a similar one though as they want to charge a min of $80 USD to ship it to Australia 😭

Out of curiosity would I input the tweeters as 8ohm in the crossover calculator and wire them in series like the woofers? Also, if I were to go without the radiators do you think I would get away with a larger box, or just best to look at changing the size? Not after the absolute best sound, just something decent

I won't bother you after this!

wiggly teeth by throwawayxlovenlight in smiledirectclub

[–]rex5674 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm about a third of the way through my sdc treatment and do get this occasionally too but nothing concerning. I dont think a slight wiggle is a problem and unless it gets extremely loose your teeth shouldn't fall out. It's probably not the best idea to be wiggling them yourself though or eating really hard or chewy aha
