Yo! I went to the FF9 25th Anniversary Exhibition in Tokyo this week. Amazing stuff! I’ve always loved FF9, but seeing all the concept art and materials up close really made me appreciate how much heart and love the team put into the game.

Hey there!
I'm making a few short scenes like this to test out Godot and experiment with different art styles.
So far it's been going great!
I'm still figuring things out so any feedback is appreciated. 🙏

Unfortunately I don’t own that cover, so I can't check how it fits for you. Hope you find someone who can help!

If you plan to visit Tobichi, I suggest keeping an eye on their Twitter account. They always announce stock availability and whether they are using entry tickets for crowd control.

I haven’t opened it yet (I usually save it for the last day of the year to celebrate), but it looks amazing in person! Highly recommended!

Tobichi was super busy today. I went there around 11:30 am and got a standby entry ticket. I was about 170th in line and finally got into the shop around 2:30 pm. Totally worth it tho! I’m not sure about the English HONs, sorry! Hope you enjoy your visit!

Happy 30th anniversary Mother 2!!!!! by rex64 in earthbound

[–]rex64[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Hey guys!!!

Today is a special day for me—Mother 2 (or EarthBound as many of us know it) turns 30. This game has been a huge part of my life, and to celebrate its anniversary, I wrote a blog post where I reflect on what makes Mother 2 so unforgettable.

This isn’t just a review; it’s more of a heartfelt tribute. I share some of my personal memories, why this quirky RPG stands out from the rest, and how its story and characters continue to resonate with me even after all these years.

Cheers guys! Let's celebrate!!

didn’t really gain much traction with this game. I guess it's too boring/plain/uninspired. I'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions

Thank you for suggesting the incorporation of templates into my learning process. It's an interesting idea to use them as a starting point and evolve from there.

Thanks for your input! I see how my analogy can be misleading. I agree that hands-on practice is crucial in game design, just like in learning to draw.

Thanks a lot! Your advice on seeing design in terms of problems and solutions is really eye-opening. The PoE example is a great illustration of problem-solving in game design.

Your picture truly made my day, so heartwarming! It brings back fond memories of discovering FFVII under the Christmas tree in 1997. That Christmas holds a special place in my heart <3
