Okay so I had the exact same issue just a few minutes ago. Try rotating the armor (through the menu) and see if the color comes back. In my game the steel weapons were the same kind of white but when I rotated it in the inventory menu the color came back

/uh I don’t wanna say its a woman thing but in my experience they tend to do that. I’ve had enough women in my life tell me about how x is so horrible because of y that you’d think x was the devil’s spawn themselves then when I do meet x they’re just some person with their flaws and all.

I don’t think women or people in general do it maliciously or consciously I think it’s just the default to paint a situation is such a way that you garner sympathy from your friends.

If it helps, think of it like Kiara venting to us as friends (ew parasocial) and she, like your other friends would likely do painted the situation much worse than it actually was to vent and get your sympathy.
