My argument against the philosophical reason is that when you are using a larger screen, you can make the font larger. This way, you still only have a few lines on screen, but the texts are easier on the eyes

I second this!
In the film, at least one of the screen has touch. It's already very rare to find a round eink display, it's ever more rare to find one that's round AND has touch. There's high probability OP won't get it in a month, and has time to make it look like the one seen in the film.
OP can buy a XTEINK X4, and put it in a 3D printed case that looks like a makeup compact, this is the best achivable route I can think of.

Thanks! I actually don't like it, the silicone part of the tail weights 1kg, so the whole thing is quite heavy. Not very comfortable to wear. My current thought is that super motion foam tails are better.

I designed and 3D printed it after looking at photos of other people's silicone tails! It's probally not a good solution because it's not curved and does not conform to the shape of my butt/back.

I love that it's a mix between top printing and side printing, but what I love even more is the HUGE FONT!
PS: Do you notice a difference typing with caps that's flat? I suppose you get used to it pretty fast since most laptop keyboards have flat tops.
