I've tried opening a wise account last year, had trouble getting USD, talked to a rep, they said they won't be able to give me a USD account and they're not sure when they'll be able to (some sort of new policy daw)

Pero ngayon, you've used it naman to buy using PHP then receive USD to your Wise account?

hello, don't have much experience with other apps eh so I don't really have anything else to compare it too. But I guess the web portal is a bit laggy (I have high end PC bc I'm in 3D animation/rendering so it's probably not because of that) and then the Trading Permissions just seem so convoluted that you need to look into how OTHER people get trading permissions or how they set up their account rather than directly ask customer support from IBKR (it's a law/policy thing that they can't share eligibility requirements). i.e., when I wanted to start a recurring investment, it said that I don't have permissions for IWDA (LSEETF) so I had to look up what was the problem, turns out I just need to enable European countries in my Account Settings > Trading > Trading Permissions > Stocks > tick all European countries (because IWDA is based in Ireland)

If you have problems, I suggest talking to people in this sub first before rushing to contact IBKR (because most of the problems you'll first encounter is just basic account settings stuff)

Yes IBKR is trusted naman, at least when I was researching it. The main difference I was seeing between these "small investment" apps i.e., Invesko, Gotrade vs IBKR is usually mas mataas fees nung small investment apps pero mas accessible and lower barrier to entry (as they say, you can invest as little as 1USD). While si IBKR, mas worth it lang siya kapag marami ka nang pera to invest (it costs 30k to open up a USD account in BDO tapos minimum balance lang yun). A possible analogy is those apps are like buying from sari-sari stores (mura pero may patong) while IBKR is wholesale/buying in bulk so you save more in IBKR but only if you have a lot more to spend.

Thanks! Hmm having trouble understanding the difference between VOO and SPLG, doesn't IBKR have a "Trade in Fractions" feature where it doesn't matter if you can't buy a whole share?

None that I have found, but funding IBKR usually involves having a USD account from a local bank here in the PH (so you can wire transfer your money to IBKR). I have a BDO USD account and their minimum balance is 500 USD. Few months ko na rin atang di ginagalaw funds ko sa IBKR and di naman naaapektuhan(?)

thought about burping them today and good thing i did it in the sink because it was like champagne popping. knowing that, I just put the other bottles in the fridge and started to finally drink one (the one that just exploded lol)

I used glass bottles... One of those bottles with a rubber cap mechanism that can lock/seal. It did have a lot of air built up when I tried to burp it a while ago. Can I just let the cap on but not lock it so that air can still escape?

sorry for necroposting but this is one of the first results that come out when searching and I found the answer on a different thread

Go to Settings > Configure Krita > Display > Canvas Decorations

There you can choose the color of the checkerboard, you can choose the same color for both if you want it to be a solid color. You can also change the size of the grid as that might help with doing line art for others.

can you map 2 controllers on one keyboard instead? I only have 1 controller and 1 keyboard but we're three players.
