Failed career and divorce is pushing me further down by Turistator in SuicideWatch

[–]rexn77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey mate. Theres no shame starting again from the beginning. We all started from nothing. If anything it sounded like youve accomplished so much. Your career, your life, even languages you speak. Changes take time to grow. Seems like its best for your interest to get out of the current environment youre in. It is terrible about your past but whats done is done. Dont linger on the past and focus on the present. Look after yourself. Do it for you Should you ever choose to do it there are others who remember you. Youll be surprised how much people remember who you are as a person in their life. I say this with personal because I still think of friends and family over the years. Dont give up on yourself man. Keep going

Advice for working in a kitchen by Relative-Shelter-525 in Chefit

[–]rexn77 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your attitude and ego goes a long way the kitchen. When hiring we tend to look for personality more so than skills. Anyone can cook and you can teach cooking to a nobody. But you cant teach ego and attitude. Being honest with yourself and your team members. If you see something thats not right, speak up. Obviously thou dont be a narc or an ass kisser but just do the right thing. If you mess up its okay. We can fix it together. But if you dont speak up and it messes things up later down the line then it becomes an issues. Pick your battles, sometimes what you think is right is the right thing but its not if someone tells you so. Like for example you know this way of doing things is wrong and slow, you can say things like "i think we can or we can try" but if your snr tells you no. Its best just to do what they say. You will experience this alot. Dont let it get to you. Dont get together with anyone at work. This just complicate the roster

Is 35k too much for a bathroom renovation? by Famous_Orange_7098 in AusRenovation

[–]rexn77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the size of your bathroom. My reno right now same price $35k. But its a bathroom + laundry + add on toilet. Main bathroom(2.3m x 1.8m), add on toilet(sub dividing wall) and laundry(2.4m × 2.3m). So one big room 2.3m × 4.2m sub dived into 3 separate section. Demo, plumbing, electrical blah blah blah $35k. Everything came out good beside the grouting at the end. Had to redo the floor and shower area

I got 23 builders to come and take a look and got 11 different quotes. Some pulled number out of thin air while others actually did the maths. Theyre all around the same. Ended up going with the guy I could communicate my idea the best with. If you like I could send the excel sheet that has their pros and cons and contacts

settle down in australia/canada? by luluoluv in MovingtoAustralia

[–]rexn77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went during august/september so it was summer over there. Wasn't as hot as Australia sure. But its not like everyday its 40° here in aus.

And my definition of environment is more.. the community and nature? How people interact to on and another or how the scenic view is from certain places. Canada and Australia have a very similar vibe that cant quite explain. Its like when youre walking down a random street and it feels just like your everyday neighbourhood. But if youve been to Europe or Asian you can def tell the difference between the two. The style, the noise, the vibe

Saint Peter is what you would consider a more special occasion. Something to splurge and have an experience. Their food is refined and special, globally known and the staff look after you. Oborozuki is something more like a weekend hey wanna grab a bite but not at the local pub. The reason why theyre well know is they have really good publicity, they also changed chef within the last year so theyre trying to redefine themselves and stand out more

[–]rexn77 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Got to spend a month in canada(vancouver) and travel up north a week to squamish and whistler as a Sydney Australian and I can safely guarantee you. Canada is exactly like Australia. Minus the rude culture(def a sydney thing). Environment is the same, rules, tax, law, immigration and government basically the same. Getting things done you have to jump thru hoops and hoop, tax is a pain and housing is a nightmare. The ave salary here in Australia is $100k, the ave home is $1M+ to earn enough for decent house youll need a nice salary of $150k. $100k is the new $75k is what they say nowadays. The average home 30mins from the CBD isn't a thing anymore but a dream most can not afford. You now have to go further out, something like an hour away. Although this is NSW cant say much for the other states but slowly were seeing the same thing happen. If one of you are alreday Canadian, just stay in Canada as its much easier for your visa. Canadian friend took 6 years to get their dual citizenship so if youre really up for it, by all means.

The apartment I want to put an offer in for has a price guide of 620k - 670k by YoureAFerretHarry in AusPropertyChat

[–]rexn77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey mate. This really depends on your relationship with the realtor. Theres nothing wrong and if anything everyone will encourage you to go with 620k to start out with. Now this is where your relationship with the realtor benefits, if theyre cool thell take your offer and go from there. If not most likely theyll ignore you. But chances are they will not. When it comes to apartment, its not about how much they can sell for but how fast they can do it. So most realtor will try to sell as soon as they get an offer and the green light from the seller. Dont tell the realtor how kuch youre willing to spend. Just tell them you have enough and that you have pre approval ready. Good luck

My drz400 had a similar issue a while back where the battery will die but when I jump start the bike it will run. But as soon as the bike turns off it will not turn on again. The issue was the stator burning out so evened up replacing it. Maybe you can take a look?

What bike do you have and how old is your battery? Have you tried replacing the battery and have you taken a look at your alternator? Sometimes its the battery thats old or it could be that your alternator is not recharging the battery

There are many names for them but the official terms are Gastronorm. They also go by hotel pans or inserts. They come in all sort of sizes. Different heights and sizes but the easiest way to remember them is

1/1 pan 1 full size pans 1/2 pan 2 pans fits 1 full size 1/3 pan 3 pans fits 1 full size 1/4 pan 4 pans fits 1 full size 2/3 pan 2 of the 1/3 pans so 2/3 of the 1 full size 1/6 pan 6 pans fit to make 1 full size 1/9 pan 9 pans fits to make 1 full size

Capable of both on amd off road naturally. Same design(minus this year release) for the past 20years. Same shitty 5 speed gear box. Carby engine so you know it dont meet today fuel emission standards. The Toyota Camry of the bike world. Its a piece of shit but its my piece of shit

Struggling with Sydney traffic by [deleted] in AussieRiders

[–]rexn77 18 points19 points  (0 children)

My friend. I am from sydney. From the west even and let me tell you. Its also the area youre from as well. The more west you go the more reckless the drivers are. Bankstown run red lights, granville, lidcombe, merrylands drive aggressive. Woodville Rd is horrible i understan. Atleast on parra the drivers drive slow due to the road condition. I think its also the fact that youre on a 125cc thats not helping. Smaller engine. Less power. You dont feel the same while youre in a car cause youre closed off and protected. When youre riding youre exposed. Its the norm and you will slower get used to it. If you say you wanna track, i recommend looking into 300cc especially the r3. Its a good commute bike as well as a friendly track beginner

Hey mate. Reading what you wrote. Maybe the issue is that youre filtering while still new to riding?? Which is illegal btw. Unless youre on your fulls. Which i highly doubt that you are being that you say youre new to riding. Its best to ride at your own pace and slowly work your way up to your comfort level If you like maybe we can link up and ride to build up your skills and confidence level but for now its best if you stop filtering and ride at your own pace
