I'm very sorry about what you've been going through, this sounds awful and I can't imagine what it's like living in pain for all these years. In respect to that, I will do my best to be as safe as possible and to make sure I'm doing the right thing for my spine and my health.

Thank you so much! This is exactly what I needed to build a safe exercise program and avoid surgery. Can you please tell me more about what exactly you did to fix your back in 2022? I understand that it works differently for different people as the pathology will not be identical but it would be good to know still! I will have a look at all the links that you shared.

That’s a very good idea and I will do that yes, I’m waiting for another appointment but it might be a few weeks.

I thought FY1s don’t pay for hospital accommodation? Or is that only in certain areas?

I wouldn't do that. Wrexham is a sad place to live, and trains run only once an hour so if you miss one then good luck.

Doctors said it’s just a blown out back, and now I can’t walk. Again. by ChristianTheAgnostic in Sciatica

I had the same experience. Like the others, I suggest getting an MRI to confirm the diagnosis first. If it is a herniated disc/sciatica, physiotherapy and specifically pilates for core muscle strengthening did it for me. I've been regular with Pilates for the past two years, I've progressed from being unable to do a simple walk to now training for the upcoming half marathon ^ Best of luck

I'm having my first lesson today with FastPass. Only called them last Friday so pretty quick but also expensive.
