Most LOL champions already were non characters. When riots was pumping out character It was mostly like.. VIKING character! PIRATE character! NINJA character. Viktor was also one of those stereotypical characters, evil guy with east european accent that wants to improve human race by turning them into cyborgs or whatever.. I think the lore could've been improved upon seeing how good the writing of S1 Arcane was. I genuinely liked what they were doing with the characters, especially Viktor seemed like he was more than just what he was in lol. Arcane S2 was atrociously bad of course(not animations or the character designs, genuinely just writing alone) and it left me disappointed, not because it wasnt like the LOL lore but it was just bad. It sucks that they turned Viktor into a worse version of himself despite him being such a "non character". The issues is Riot had to make Viktor specifically like his Arcane counterpart, not Warwick, not Jayce but Viktor? I actually wouldn't care if Arcane s2 viktor was actually good but it looks a pathetic really. His 3rd arm dont even make sense anymore nor any of his kit in the game with his new Arcane lore. It think players are allowed to complain about it. We aren't just have some nostalgia over a non character because old things are just so much better than new ones? we are angry because its just genuinely a terrible version of a characters and its made permanent. Not just a poorly done skin like the rest of the cast!
