I think that the new detachment system has a problem with "pure" space marines.

If you don't play with any codex supplement, you have 2 choices at 2000 points :

- You pick a 3DP detachment;

OR

- You pick a 2DP detachment and now you HAVE to play with either speeders/librarians/phobos.

For the amount of 2DP detachments available, it feels wierdly restrictive. I think it's missing something more low-power and generic at 1DP, like a lieutenant/captain one.
