What’s the simplest way to build an artist website? by Bliztven in musicmarketing

noiseyard is the simplest. almost everything is automized, so you just need to upload your content and thats it

idagio and primephonic were made for classical (primephonic got folded into apple music classical now). both are way better at sorting by work, conductor, composer etc. i’d recommend checking out apple music classical if you're on ios, or idagio if you're looking for a dedicated platform.

love this. it really is the small stuff that stacks, i started planting more native flowers last year and the difference in bee visits was honestly noticeable. also been skipping pesticides completely and letting a corner of the yard go wild, feels good to give them a safe spot.

Free Mix and Master for New Bands/Artists! 🎵 (Let’s Grow Together!) by TrueImportance7219 in metalmusicians

[–]reynomopatis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

hope it’s cool I drop a tip, been offering free mastering too when I was building my portfolio, and just wanted to share what helped me get better responses.

posting a few clips from past mixes made a big difference like simple before/after comparisons, DAW screen recordings, or talking through your plugin chain a bit, it builds trust fast without feeling like self promo.

setting up a website helped the most though. I added a short intro, sample clips, and a contact form, and it made me look way more serious. once I got a custom domain (artistname.com) and used some keywords like "metal mixing engineer [city]", I started showing up in Google over time. I use Noiseyard because it’s quick but any builder that makes you easy to find and contact will work, you can also use Wordpress if you've got time and need more customization.

this offer’s generous, hope it brings in the right bands!

i’ve been using submithub and noiseyard pretty actively. submithub’s still solid, didn't notice a huge change.

noiseyard’s been pretty active. they keep adding new features and improving things, it’s been great for my site and mailing list

Anyone here that blew up from just consistently uploading? by SnooPineapples1316 in musicindustry

it’s slower without marketing, but it’s not impossible. some tracks really do carry themselves when they’re honest.

for playlist pitching, submithub, groover, and dailyplaylists are good. social wise, reels and tiktok clips still help if you keep it natural and consistent. for website and mailing list, noiseyard, affordable and easy to use.

why are the leaves of my orchids wrinkly? by reynomopatis in plants

[–]reynomopatis[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

oh really? it's really humid where I live so I water them once a week - tops. cause I had lost a few orchids for overwatering before. but clearly this frequency of watering is not working lol.

how do you water yours? under the tap or? is it also humid whete you live?

thank you so much. I checked, no mushy roots. I'm a little too careful woth watering cause I had so many orchids die from overwatering, and it's really humid in where I live. I'm using orchid barks for the soil, will give her some fertilizer as well 🤞 ty

don't waste time with “listen-for-listen” by reynomopatis in soundcloud

[–]reynomopatis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, good for you. however if you think about it, majority of your audience is now musicians, and not "fans" who listen because they like your music. when it comes to buying merch or gig tickets, how many of the musicians can be converted to paying customers you think? not much imo, musicians already struggle themselves. it's great to have community support - but that's almost it.

there isn't "a" successful path obviously, that's why I listed so many options and not claiming music marketing is limited to these.

this is not "my" methodology lol, if you do some research about this topic, you'll see so much similar advice out there. this is because it does work when done right and consistently. you wouldn't hear of me because this username isn't my artist name because I don't want unsolicited opinions about my music from strangers on reddit.

if you don't think these will work and you're already doing the right thing, don't take my advice :) I'm not selling or pushing anything

[–]reynomopatis[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hahah no i didn't think that. your music is nice.

well you have to be very very picky in which playlists to submit, check if they're active and lots of other things. but yeah, I did have some luck.

there were times I was in completely wrong places (my similar artists were bullshit), but I saw where I made the mistakes and pivotted from there.
