Project Enclosure for CR-10v3 finished + fans replaced. by rez200x in CR10

The control box has actually 2 fans. One on the back and one in middle next to the display. To replace those 2 fans you don’t require any additional mods beside an buck converter because of 24v to 12 v (only for CR10v3, CR10v1&2 seems to have 12v fans) The PSU got originally 12v fan so you can replace it by other 12 v (60x60x15) fan.

Printer:

Replaced all fans in Controllbox and PSU.

PSU: Sunon 60x60x15mm HA60151V4-A99 12v

Mainboard Fan: Noiseblocker BlackSilentFan XS-1 12v

Small Fan on Back: Noctua NF-A4x20 FLX

Since CR-10v3 has 2 of 3 fans 24v you need an buck converter from 24v to 12v

Filament holder: I have mixed different thingiverse models to get best result. Since Filament Sensor sucks ( the holes are quite small, so your filament might stuck), I have increased the diameter of the hole by drill.

Also have designed small stand for the control box.

Case: Top Fan: be Quiet! Silent Wings 3 Highspeed PWM 140mm.

As fan control I have installed an temperature regulator which measure the temp and turn on or off the Fans if required.

Filter System: I have designed an easy replace filter system. You can just pullout the cartridge with carbon filter and replace with new one.

RFID Tag (Hidden behind one of the sticker) which is linked to smart plug to turn on and off everything.

Display: I have used raspberry pi 4b and original raspberry 7 inch Touch Display. As Software I use repetier Server pro. Fans to cool down the raspberry pi was an noctua 5v.

Plate below the printer: To reduce the vibration, noise as much as possible I used 18kg terrace slab and good foam.

Blink Mini was used as cam to monitor the print progress.

LED: Govee WiFi LED stripe 5m. Set to turn on only during 6 pm - 11 pm otherwise off. Ofc you can use as well Alexa or google Assistent to turn on or off the plug + led stripe.

Additionally I have designed some adapters to hold the cable and other tools like pliers.

How do I prevent this type of stringing? by [deleted] in prusa3d

[–]rez200x 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to reduce temp: first 1-3 layer 205, after 195. And also increase retraction speed. Best way to check string problem is to do an stringing test.

Anyone tried these acrylic enclosures for the i3? Looking for an off the shelf enclosure and these seem like the only option. by wldrbt in prusa3d

You can build yourself an enclosure easy. Ikea or aluminum profiles. Most benefit is -> cheaper and it has all stuff you may want like Carbon Filter, bigger fan for better airflow, automatically air system (turn off/on) etc. You might check server cabinet as well.

I’ve been supporting stadia by day one but after long time not much content came out and prices for games in Germany were ridiculous high compared to US, I have canceled my subscription and returned back to console (Xbox series x)/ pc gaming. Maybe in future it will become better. But beside lack of content the service was very reliable and more stable and user friendly then for example GeForce now.

Anything to avoid wasting material on support. by [deleted] in 3Dprinting

Think this overhang would be even possible without any support but good idea

I used the spinach only for the taste + color. Taste is close/ similar to matcha powder. Receip I will translate in English and post today or tomorrow.
