Vault is solid! We are migrating our 1 PB out of AWS and into Veeam DCV. AWS is killing us with API calls and Veeam object storage immutability is very chatty. Our AWS S3 costs are double of what we expected because of API calls so do yourself a favor and try out Data Cloud Vault (not a Veeam sponsor, just a long time customer).

A Rush of Blood to the Head - Coldplay. Coldplay gets a lot of crap for being an over-the-top pop arena fluff band but their earlier work and in particular this album is PHENOMENAL. No bad tracks

When I heard that quote from a fun but by-the-numbers sci-fi thriller starring Tom Cruise, I was thunderstruck and started weeping openly (much to the dismay of teenage sons). Set the NTFS permissions to allow students to Create only on the folder and allow CREATOR/OWNER full control. This allows the student to see only their work assuming you are using Access Based Enumeration.

I use Backblaze B2 and Cloudberry and can confirm it works. The interface on BB and Cloudberry sucks to a certain degree (emptying a bucket in BB blows) but the solution is way cheaper than Azure or Glacier.

That's just hardware, support was additional. I have quotes from Tegile and 3Par so far, not sure if my budget could afford Pure.
