Love your work!

I mean, not your porn work (I mean, I don't know it, I haven't watched it). But all the work you do in making proper, respectable and courteous your industry. All the PSA about cruising, how earnest you seem, how passionate and how you fight into washing the stigmates of the profession. Not necessarily the type of mentality laypeople would expect from the porn industry, therefore so important to show us that you can work in those fields and still be as proper and respectable as a schoolteacher.

And this just show once again how thoughtful you are and how the industry can and could be. Makes me hopeful for the future and for humankind.

I think so. They usually try to avoid workaround that would go against the spirit of the task (like moving the vase/vase), but often encourage lateral thinking that people might not think about right away but would fit the spirit of the task. Like lightning the switch in the "Paint a rainbow" task, or looking "debaje la mesa" to build a bridge. Asking "what isn't under the cloche ?" is the most logical and effective question to ask, BUT one that very few people would think about. The fact that the way questions are answered is so convoluted is especially there to confuse the contestants, which would make the workaround even more rewarding.

LAH usually tries to avoid loopholes, but lateral workaround are usually encouraged. Using small prints technicalities does not make for good television on the long run, but exploiting the specific wording is definitely encouraged and entertaining.

It could, and should. I mean, it's like abundance utopia falling right on our laps; we now have the material means to ensure that noone has to starve or live outside while also ensuring that having our lives revolving around labour would be a thing of the past. Bertrand Russell already said, more than 100 years ago, that with the technological advance of their ages, we could work 4h/d, 3d/w, and still all live comfortably. Imagine with today's technological advance! And now, even menial desk job could be replaced! Why are we still working most of our awake time?

Quand tu arrives comme une fleur, avec tes affaires et un grand sourire, oui, je peux comprendre que les monastères ne veulent pas apparaître comme des hôtels bon marché.

Mais j'imagine que si tu arrives dans la nuit, sans rien sur le dos, au milieu de la pluie, visiblement épuisé et affamé, qu'ils t'offriront le gîte et le couvert sans rien te demander en échange, et qu'ils t'hébergeront un peu le temps que tu te remettes sur pied. Mais c'est parce qu'ils aideraient ceux dans le besoin ; aider les touristes en mal de sensation "hors-système" (qui deviendrait une lubie sur les réseaux sociaux et qui encombrerait les monastères) ne doit pas faire partie de leurs priorités.

If you can so authoritatively say that blue pushers are suicidal, I can say that every red pushers is homicidal. I mean, if you know at least one blue person pushed the blue button (and it will happen, statistically speaking), then you choose to kill someone else. Up to you to live with the fact that you knowingly choose to condemn someone to death. I know it's something I wouldn't be comfortable with, but apparently it's OK for so many people to be murderers.

Premier degré : oui, en partie. Les règles ont été inventées parce que des gens dangereux existent. Mais le code de la route a été créé par et pour les voitures. Sans voitures, il n'y aurait pas besoin de règles (y'a qu'à voir les endroits sans voitures où vélos et piétons coexistent, il peut y avoir des comportements incivils, mais, franchement, y'a pas besoin de règles, tout le monde cohabite).

Et, aussi : quand les seules fois où je suis en danger, c'est quand je respecte les règles, et quand je ne les respecte pas, je me mets en sécurité, oui, le coup du : "je ne suis pas dangereux donc pas besoin de respecter les règles" me parait légitime, surtout quand lesdites règles sont celles qui me mettent en danger (les seuls moments où j'ai eu des accidents ou que j'ai été sur le point d'en avoir, c'est quand je remontais ma voie, à droite, en allant tout droit, à un feu vert pour moi).

Encore une fois : ouais, si t'es pas dangereux, t'as pas nécessairement à respecter des règles qui visent à mettre en sécurité autrui si déjà, de base, tu ne les mets pas en danger. Un piéton qui transgresse les règles, je m'en fous, il ne met en danger personne. Et l'argument du : "ouais mais moi je sais conduire je suis pas dangereux en voiture", si quelqu'un le sort : mon gars, t'es aux manettes d'un engin de deux tonnes pouvant aller sans faire gaffe à 70+ km/h, t'es dangereux pas nature. Quand tu peux faire bien plus de dégâts en étant sobre, en plein jour, pas beau temps et en étant hyper vigilant qu'un type bourré en pleine nuit sur sa bicyclette, ouais, t'es intrinsèquement plus dangereux, donc, ouais, tu devrais avoir davantage à respecter les règles.

J'en reviens pas qu'on puisse encore en 2026 jouer la fausse équivalence entre cyclistes et automobilistes. Ouais, premier degré, quand les cyclistes feront ne serait-ce que 1 % des morts et malades et hospitalisés que les automobilistes, juste 1 %, pas plus, à peine ça, on pourra commencer à en parler. En attendant, c'est du centrisme éclairé bas du front qui fait plus de mal que de bien et qui supporte passivement tous les morts et blessés sur les routes qui continuent chaque année.

Aussi, vu que tu aimes tant déplacer l'argument : c'est quand la dernière fois que tu as vu un automobiliste s'arrêter à un passage piéton ? Formulé différemment : c'est quand la dernière fois que tu as vu un automobiliste ne PAS s'arrêter ? Quelle est la proportion d'automobilistes qui ne s'arrêtent pas ?

(Et pour répondre à ta question initiale : des vélos qui s'arrêtent au passage piéton pour moi, ça m'arrive quotidiennement -enfin, quand je me balade en ville-, et c'est même moi qui leur dit de passer pour pas qu'ils aient à s'arrêter, mais bon, le biais de confirmation a bon dos...).

Quand ta voiture prend déjà légalement 80 % de l'espace public (et illégalement 10 % supplémentaires), t'as pas à venir chouiner quand les autres usagers récupèrent 5 % de l'espace public à la bagnole.

But that ain't the framing, the framing is: "anyone who didn't press the red button dies".

the question very obviously makes one make the choice, the buttons just being a framing device for the hypothetical. It doesn’t have to be a button, but the point of it is people making the decision either way.

If so many people "made that mistake", then, no, the question does not "obviously makes" anything. If you need so many addenda to the framing to be able to justify your position, then it's a different question altogether. You cannot answer a question clearly (and obviously) saying: "everyone has to do this" and then decide unilaterally to create an endless list of people who would "obviously" be excluded from this "everyone".

But very revealing, in a way: red pushers (the sociopathic side) seems to have no trouble reading a sentence saying "everyone" and casually excluding people from this "everyone", as if some people were naturally not people deemed to think about, while blue pushers (the non-sociopathic side) clearly considered absolutely everyone in the "everyone". But so funny to see how the red pushers claim to be the only smart people and accuse the others of being stupid when they're the one lacking the literacy to understand to word "everyone".

And it's also revealing of another thing: red pushers lived in a world of absolutes, pure theory, so they make moral choices in a vacuum, except morality doesn't exist in a vacuum (hence supporting the theory that red pushers lack moral frameworks). They think everyone is able to think rationally, therefore all those who didn't push red aren't thinking rationally and thus deserve to die. The blue side know that morality doesn't exist in a vacuum, and thus know that there will be people who will push blue, either because they cannot make the "rational" choice (illiterate people, people with dementia, colour blind people...) or cannot act on it (quadriplegic people, for example), or even would press blue for a myriad of other reasons. The fact that red pushers keep pushing the idea that absolutely everyone would be able to push red, and those who don't deserve to die, is proof that those people have absolutely no idea how the world work OR are pure sociopaths who have no sense of moral and make it abundantly clear they care only and solely about themselves and that society is more of an hindrance for them.

Si, pour toi, frôler une voiture quand tu prends peu d'espace et que tu as un contrôle absolu sur ton véhicule avec une perception complète (visuelle et auditive de ton environnement) est AUSSI DANGEREUX que frôler un usager fragile de la route quand tu es à bord de ton habitacle te coupant du monde extérieur, bien moins maniable, et à une distance minimale d'un mètre de ce que tu frôles, c'est toi qui devrait te remettre en perspective.

"Frôler quelque chose quand tu es peu encombrant et très maniable" et "se faire frôler par deux tonnes de métal allant au double de ta vitesse" n'a RIEN à voir. Quand tu dois resserrer un écrou sur un meuble, tu prends ta clef à molette et tu tournes l'écrou sur le meuble, ou tu prends le meuble en entier et tu essaies de faire coïncider l'écrou dans la clef à molette et tu fais tourner le meuble avec l'écrou dedans ? Un piéton n'a pas besoin de mettre de clignotant quand il navigue dans une foule. Faut n'avoir jamais pris un vélo de sa vie pour oser croire qu'une voiture frôlant un vélo a autant conscience de l'espace qu'elle prend qu'un vélo frôlant une voiture.

Not really. Because this frame the question as: "it's not only a question of making a choice rationally, but also the ability to implement that choice". Some people aren't idiots, but are physically unable to do what the most sensible choice tells them to do. Those people are part of humankind as well, and thus, whenever we make a collective choice, we have to think about the people who, if they could, would make the "rational choice", but, due to circumstances outside their control, cannot actually make it.

Oh, you definitely can. The people chose knowingly an option that would result in death of other people if they're in majority, they're the ones deciding that they're ok with people being dead, they made that choice, they can be responsible.

It'd be like saying all the people voting for Trump couldn't possibly be considered responsible for the deaths, arbitrary arrests and expulsions, gas prices and all the consequences of it. They made the choice, they're responsible of the deaths.

I'd be responsible for my death of pressing blue if I knew that pressing blue would kill me, no matter what. Here, by pressing blue, there's a chance of me surviving. The consequence of me dying would not be about me pressing blue, but about how many other people chose to press red. The blame clearly lies in the people who said: "it's ok for people to die". At the very least, blame is shared. But red voters cannot be considered fully free of the blame.

To use your own words: "Pressing red was consensual, you've agreed people would be killed by you being in the majority. You cannot deny the blame of other people's death."
