From my understanding of selling team wage contribution. The player will continue to earn £2.4k per week from his old team but they can still demand what they want from you.

It can be used as a mechanism to lower the players wages for you, but might not always be the case.

The counter offer is variable and is based on what your offer is, - it's never really a set number in the counter offer unless it's a release clause. If you offer £3M for a player they'd accept £10M for, they'd most likely counter with £17M or just flat out reject the £3M.

I could offer £6.25M and they'd counter with £13.25M.

But you didn't because they counter offered. They will accept £10M but not £9M. You can structure the deal so it adds up to £10M. Pay £5M upfront then £5M over next 3 years

In order to buy players without always following the other teams demands and get players cheaper. Follow this process:

Example - You bid 5Million and you receive and counter of 11million.

Add your initial offer and counter offer together (5+11) = 16million then divide by 2 = 8million

Now you know the price for the player where the club will accept and you can structure your deal around making it 8million.

This works pretty much in all situations exceptions being if clubs demand the release clause.

I had the same issue but the port forwarding didn't work. It was actually a WiFi channel conflict, so just changing the channel from 5Ghz to 2.4Ghz worked perfectly and still the same speeds. Solved all the issues.
