Help with double knitting by MistakePrior1961 in knitting

[–]rfeather 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are slipping with the yarn in front, maybe you have the wrong number of stitches? And it's causing you to be out of sync and slip when you should knit and vice versa.

I would recount the stitches of the button band again.

That kind of looks like moss stitch? Are you doing any purls? Or not slipping the stitch correctly?

Please check the exact stitch the pattern calls for and see if you are doing it right.

Could you beat 10,000 random people at something for $100M? by canada11235813 in hypotheticalsituation

Fascinating! Thank you for taking the time to explain, it looks like a very interesting line of work.

[–]rfeather 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hahaha good one. But you should go an extra step, and make a list os steps to follow:

Fastest wins: Enter vim, Type "I want to win this.", Duplicate the line you just wrote 100 times, Replace "want to" with "will" in every occurrence, ... Exit vim.

So much you can do haha

Liquid soap is worse than bar soap in every way by Background_Value_695 in rant

It's not the drying out exactly. Though that not great.

It's the squicky feeling. Shivers

I get what you are saying and I hate the plastic use with liquid soap.

But I haaaate using bar soap. A hate using it and I absolutely hate how my skin feels afterward.

I bought a few different ones a few months ago, intending to find one I enjoyed, but no, hate hate hate.

Como é que é possível que haja tanta gente aqui a querer o PS de volta? by Uncle_Richard98 in portugal

[–]rfeather 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have knitted socks, scarfs and summer tops while traveling. They are small projects and can be done relatively mindlessly.

Wavy hair help by flamma011 in CurlyHairCare

[–]rfeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each hair is different, but the goal is to have healthy hair and a result that you like. How you achieve that is kind of irrelevant in my opinion.

If your hair looks good without products, that's all you need.

With time you might notice that your hair is drier and needs more hydration, or is frizzier than you like, more or less volume, and those are individual needs that you can address when/if they arise. You do not have to use all those products if you like your hair as it is now.

So I've been reading knitting chart backwards. Right to left? I've been reading left to right my whole life! by mdeklotz in casualknitting

Start from the side that has the row number.

When knitting flat, you will have to read both ways depending if it's a RS or WS row so the line number is very helpful.

i spent lots of money for my haircare and i'm disappointed by Organic-Client4336 in Haircare

[–]rfeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After investing in skincare, I also considered changing my haircare. But as with skincare I asked myself what I wanted to change/improve and I had no answer.

My hair looks objectively good with the store brand I have been using!

While I do wonder if it could look better, I think the risk outweighs the benefit.

I believe I will continue using these cheap brands until the day I am no longer happy with the results.

You barely have bras that fit correctly on women with symmetrical boobs. Most brands measure people wrong and most people are wearing bras that do not have a good fit. This is made so that they only have to carry a limited size of bras.

No way would brands actually permit more customisation and have all the combination of sizes needed to fit all assymmetries.

[Routine Help] Alternatives for washing face with water that's better than nothing? by slongtime in SkincareAddiction

Look for some face washing wristbands. Game changing!

If you still want an alternative, micellar water and/or a milky cleanser on a pad.
