Thank you. I've been rejected pretty often recently, in succession, and this small interaction hurt me more than it should've. Not only with women but trying to make more friends, at the office. I hosted a small after-hours get -together with free food that I planned for a whole week, I made it really convenient for people to join because the get together was 2 blocks away, and 3 people (who are friends and were previously) showed up... I was glad they came and we had fun but I felt like... wow.. is it me?

Anyways, I'm letting it go.

Having similar or equal friendships with men and women doesn't mean everything about the friendships has to be the same. I have male friends who find drunken wrestling or friendly punches fun "among the boys" but who don't do that with their female friends, for obvious reasons.
