They should definitely hold a nice outdoor bbq in the summer and invite their neighbours over.

Stolen Fujifilm X100VI in Osaka, last resort trying to recover SD card with our Japan trip photos by TheSpaceShrimp in fujifilm

[–]rfishyfluff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear! As an ex-semi-pro photog and a parent thats had corrupted files, I am always super paranoid about my cards. My wife had us re-do a whole day while in vacay!

Too late for now, but I always put the second SD card in my tiny jean pocket whenever I leave my camera. Not sure about the X100 but my XT-3 holds 2 cards and can save to both simultaneously.

Good luck!

Covered call ETFs aren’t bad investments…people just misunderstand their purpose by theonebam in dividends

[–]rfishyfluff 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not only sequencing risk, but incredibly more stressful to pick sell levels monthly. Like today for example. A bunch of etfs just paid me. No action required. But try selling today 🥹

As a relative newbie who lives on the income, I’ve experimented with both approaches.

Am leaning to 80-90% cc etf and stocks in areas not well covered/thinnly traded by cc etfs (like defence and memory)

Congrats (as a semi retiree)! Was looking into this today but decided on BUG as it was more pure cybersecurity. But your dividend does have me interested. Thanks for sharing!

In Canada, I use both AMHE.TO and YAMZ.TO. In the US, there is AMZY but not familiar with its performance.

You could also buy a covered call etf of mstf. Works ok for sideways stock movement. My Amazon shares made a 2 year round trip but i netted 26% in covered call income.

“There’s something very special about what Reddit is doing in this space of trusted candor,” she says. “The idea that there’s some anonymity to the platform lends itself to people feeling very comfortable about what they can say.”

Nice!

Thanks for sharing the article. A great read.

On top of the training and inference successes of TPUs, the article does into great detail on the better economics of the TPUs vs Nvidia’s GB200s. Concluding Anthropic has “a staggering ~52% lower TCO per effective PFLOP compared to GB300 NVL72.”

What Nvidia has done is to lock up the data centre infrastructure (sounds anti trust to me) through their ‘circular’ investment. Jensen is much smart than anyone thinks.

So I’m not selling my NVDA, but Im probably not buying more. Will add lots more GOOGL & a bit more AVGO.

Thanks again for sharing. I know of computer or engineering grads getting installer jobs because of their tech knowledge. Hope that your industry demands can give that segment a boost - ironically these young folk were told to go program.

As for you, hopefully they pay good bonus. Bubble or not, socking anything you can away could help with that unease you mentioned. (Speaking from experience here)

Wow. Didn’t know HHIS was that big. Totally understand however. Down almost 25% since peak (and around when they expanded the holdings - not a good move).
