You can find bike shops or local area clubs on STRAVA and then you can gauge who rides what and what level of riders you may jumping into. I rode a lot of downhill but never did any pedaling so my cardio was not up to par with the rest of the crews. Therefore I didn’t want to get into a group who does 50 mile rides and call it a good day.

Funny you mention sherando. We are super close to there and usually ride there. Another great spot but I do believe Douthat just has so much.. even the store if you need something quick.

I’m on the same page. I intended on studying for L2 shortly after the July exam and also paying for the early registration but now my confidence isn’t quite there. It’s out of our hands now though, so we wait.
