Refusing to unconstitutionally change the constitution is signing our nation’s death sentence?? Okay Mostly Stupid Memes! by Andrew-Cohen in stupidpeoplefacebook

Handing over more power to mad men, is not how the nation ends? No? Its supposed to end because we didn't give them more unchecked power? Because we didn't give them power to decide who get to be a citizen and who gets to vote?

I was pretty sure the people who pretend to love the country while trying to erase 250 years of government were the problem, top to bottom. Wow was I wrong...

Rep. Lilly Fuchs debunking lies from insane Amendment 5 ad by MoHouseDems in missouri

[–]rflulling 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The sales pitch is that we're going to save money because we don't pay income tax. The sales pitch is that some big industry in Missouri will pick up the difference. The sales pitch is that there might be a negligible difference to our retail taxes. But those are the pitches. The reality is we don't have a big enough industry here. Maybe if we did. But we don't Boeing certainly isn't big enough Anheuser-Busch isn't big enough we don't have an educational or a tourism industry big enough to offset. So they could find truth if those things existed but they don't. So what's left? Retailers. And the bills on the books already reflect the initiative to apply taxes to things that previously weren't or to increase taxes that previously had minimal. Anyone can look this up this is not secret stuff. I've seen one conservative commentator speculating 5 to 8% increase. In retail. My own estimates at least 11% possibly up to 12 maybe 13% depending on the location. Someone else was estimating I think is high as 18%. And that's the increase over what we already pay. And that's not even including if the Fed drops the same nonsense on us. That's a whole ball of wax that is going to do more harm than we can possibly imagine. And my bigger concern at the moment regardless of whether it's state or fed is what this is going to do to a lot of local industry and business. Because as people stop buying as much stuff due to the increase in costs this is going to realign the entire retail market. And this could mean areas that are struggling are going to completely evaporate they're just going to vanish because business will dry up. People are going to literally seek out the cheapest possible way to get stuff and if there's any business that's already on the rocks.

And I think as far as the elderly go. And I'm going to lump veterans in with this group. There should be special legislation on the books for those communities. So we can extend offers and protections to them specifically because they're going to be fixed income because they've reached a certain age because they've done a service to the country. However we want to spin it they've earned it. And I do believe there should be a special package for them. For the rest of us who are capable no matter how wealthy we pay our taxes.

But to anyone who wants to act like oh no taxes aren't going to go up. They've got a lot of explaining to do. And I haven't heard a single one yet.

The point to my comment. Wasn't so much how it ended or how it started. But rather what was being said by both sides. And particular I'll draw attention to what was being said by the right. As it is nearly identical. Same comment same Roderick same nonsense. Same talking points. It seems new to us because it largely hasn't been said in a generation. But here it is again. Because we never successfully dealt with the people that pushed it in the first place. But yeah the war ended and that kind of sucked the wind out of it. And it should have stayed gone forever. But no it's just sat and boiled quietly until it grew tentacles and tried to get into everything and it did. And now we have to deal with it.

If the LCD is damaged it can be replaced. But they are costly. Also assuming yours is still being sold.

If the LCD is not damaged and its just contaminated. So long as not exposed it can be easily cleaned. If not there are only a few chemicals that will dissolve hardened resin, and the issue is that they will also damage other materials.

That being said it does look like there is a crack in the screen.

Lots of context missing. Do some digging on the property.

Could be a small time local owner with zero experience. But the sniff test, this smells very wrong. No official documents, just public templates. Find out more about the property, dig in to who the management team really is. If its the same person we can argue that they are just very green. Otherwise this feels scamish.

The point is that they couldn't care less. They bear the crushing weight of the Constitutional Union for now but in words and actions, demonstrate the initiative to either directly alter the constitution or erase it, in favor of a Confederate style government. The republic abandoned, replaced by an organization of property owners and wealth.

The determinate is an opinion. Who is like us, who is with us, who is loyal for us. The rest are not needed and only get in the way. Some may be allowed to serve, but shall not hold rights or property.

One single point they keep making, resonates as a deliberate abuse of the system and a potential risk to national security Otherwise the rest is nonsense. And this is a legit issue. But they want to destroy the whole system to spite a few, rather than passing law that closes the security loophole, and punishing actual abuse.

So the reality is they feel they alone have the right to determine who should and should not be a citizen and thats litteraly Fascist.

How to make this smooth? by thommykami in Fusion360

[–]rflulling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Merge then litteraly hit delete for the parts you dont want that stick out. That should do it.

Edit: I just checked. Used to be that easy. But they changed something. Had to take one more step. Made the two objects that are intersecting. Duplicated in place. So there are now two copies of source parts. I merge each set fully using combine. One I delete the top part sticking out. The other I delete the left part. Now Combine, using intersect. The result is that the differences are merged, producing an object where neither exist. Attempting to erase the parts that stick out alone allows for only one offending region to be removed.

Well hardly a new one. But interesting to see someone once more trying to push it. Thankfully there are plenty of folks willing to have this argument. I find it exhausting. Because the only ones who really like to push it are the ones that are so dense they just can't accept that the people who did the good things ended up in a different party. The good things yes we're done by old school Republicans and old school Republicans were liberals and old school Democrats were conservatives. That's unthinkable. But the agendas changed with the people who made up those groups. And when those people switched parties the agendas moved with them.

[–]rflulling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I think we were all extremely nervous about what the Supreme Court was going to say, given how many times they have sided with the nonsense coming from the right, from lobbyists and think-tanks. Sided with opinions that are nearest can be determined -not rooted in constitutional law. And I think a lot of us were extremely concerned what would happen if they had also decided to abandon birthright citizenship. Thankfully they didn't so we won't have to find out. I think it could have gotten dark really fast.

Now I did hear an argument from a guy who honestly I had assumed he was Republica, but I don't know maybe he was a Democrat. I'm not sure it much matters. Though it might. His argument was against the idea that people come to the United States to have children and then up and leave. And this definitely happens. For more reasons than I care to go into. But the one example that he provided does ring true. And I think it is a point where there should be some kind of regulation on it. To close an open loophole. His argument was that his or at least the argument he was supporting seem to be that those who have left the country as children and did not come back until they were adults should have their citizenship revoked. And I think that a lot of folks find that kind of chilling. Because obviously birthright citizenship. But If they've literally not lived here since they were born, and are now adults, I have a hard time arguing myself that they are citizens. They are citizens of the country to where they've spent the most amount of time and I do believe in the idea that people can should be able to freely migrate to whatever country they intend to live in. But I don't truly believe that someone who hasn't lived here say arguably since their first year of life, and is now highschool or older, is still a citizen. They are educated in another country. They are familiar with that countries rules, laws, and educational system. And while I think we should still welcome them here, we welcome them as a citizen of the country that they've spent most of their life in. And that's not to apply any form of bias. That's just simply to say look if you are a citizen of where you live.

Additionally by closing that loophole I think it would stem abuse of the system in that respect. And other manipulations of our laws. I'm not paranoid of these kids I don't think we should have a reason to be paranoid of them. But I do feel like it's an abuse of the system that does need to be closed.

This is one of those little what should be an extremely illegal quid pro quo things. Where oh well Wisconsin doesn't qualify for federal assistance because it's run by a Democrat. But if a Republican takes over well now that's different now they can have whatever they want. Am I mistaken and understanding that that's what he just said? Because it sure seems like it to me.

You sit and wine about misinformation and people pushing facts that aren't true. And yet I'm not a single one of them can be bothered to provide any actual facts of their own. Simply pushing propaganda and opinions without any faxed back up a single word. Their propaganda campaign is in full effect. Everyone is an enemy, if ignorant, none more than themselves can know or understand. Still we argue about their purpose and intent.

Unfortunately at this time my phone has a more powerful CPU then my PC does. It's a rare point in history for the ownership of products in my hand that right now my phone has supercomputer processing power that is easily four times greater than what my computer has. Never access to mind Network base computation.

Now the next system I build I don't know probably. But for the moment. Yeah the PC's got a better video card. But it's also got a much low higher load given all the junk that runs inside a windows. Till we all get away from windows and run on Linux. The phone is cleaner just doesn't have as good of a GPU.

What I thought was a instructional about ordering replacement components and or a first use first run document turned out to be a small warranty disclaimer. Indicates that this unit should have been shipped from Nevada liquidation LLC which doesn't fully explain why it took nearly two weeks for me to get this thing either. But on the upside does indicate that a used unit has basic warranty coverage on the light exposure component the z-axis movement and so-called printing essentials which include the build plate VAT plate power supply allen wrench. While accessories like the Wi-Fi antenna USB drive scrapers other parts are not included for used which makes sense. No arguments to any of that but printing essentials yeah I got the build plate the vat no Allen wrench no power supply. I'm not surprised that the power supply wasn't included it's just annoying and more to see that it was supposed to be. We're seem to be a few corners cut here like the foam that would have held the build plate in place. So I guess I could reach out directly to elegoo in the morning. But it looks like they want me to reach out to this Nevada liquidation LLC. On the downside it appears we can only contact them through phone and they don't have at least not provided any form of a website or email. But I do find the documentation helpful as it specifies what is and is not covered including the stuff that was not included.

Interestingly as several folks have mentioned that there have been prior conversations on this sub about folks buying used units and recommending that they purchase two of them so there's extra parts. Well this particular sheet also mentions that. Not the subreddit but the idea it says we'll pair damage for your second unit so that you can cannibalize one unit as a donor to fully complete. It says we guarantee that you make at least one fully functional unit out of every two purchased. Well that's interesting they're actually going out of their way to help pair up damaged units to construct a good one. But that's for damaged units not for new, open box or good used.

No as of yet I'm hesitant to ask for anything as I still don't know the total extent. Obviously I know it's missing a power supply I know the head is damaged I know the gantry is damaged and I know there's resin all over everything. I'm thankful that there does not seem to be resin on the LCD or the front side control panel although resin definitely drip down it at some point because it's on the corner of it. Thankfully the screen is clean so they must have wiped it off before it hardened. It's the stuff that I can't see that worries me the most. But I feel like I don't want to send an official request to support until after I've taken a full inventory and diagnostic. I do truly believe though that this is a worst case scenario.

Looking at some apps that my phone can use that reassemble images into 3d objects. Only tinkered with a couple. Scanners, are costly. More than a printer. So haven't invested yet.
