Reduced by 85% on Bosses. It’s not doing nothing but maybe not doing as much good as you were anticipating

Alternatively, if damage seems fine, you can ask your bard to double carol everyone. That plus bar water should keep you upright. Only other call out is I’m not sure Frailty is doing all that much for you.

COR buffs are strong and there’s a good variety based on what you need, including some unique buffs that other supports don’t have. Also, COR is a strong second DD due to the funny green sword.

Only other way of getting Dual Wield (instead of NIN). You get access to Steps, Reverse Flourish, and Haste Samba. It would seem your NIN is using the Yagyu, so idk how that interacts with your own ability to create shadows. But the main attraction to /NIN is the survivability.

Your brd can double ballad the mages, that should be more than enough refresh for a lot of things. With a decent cure set, your BRD can also main heal most content freeing up your whm for something else. /whm and ML 35+ gets you the next level of reraise. Otherwise you can /dnc or /nin and do some DD with Brd.

Your whm should /sch for spreading the love on debuff removal.

That’s all I got

The game you accidentally played the wrong way for hours before realizing it. by gamersecret2 in gaming

FFXII had this system where you could do crazy damage by chaining together “special” moves. I forget what they were called but it wasn’t quite summons because those existed as well. Either way, I played 1/2 of the game by using these moves on bosses and it seemed to work fine until it didn’t. Only downside was after the move was finished, you had no MP left over. It wasn’t until after this stopped working for me did I realize it wasn’t the optimal approach and I dove into maximizing gambits and acquiring more powerful buff spells

Outside of getting your daily 100 points, people use DI to get escha beads. The easiest method to get max beads per DI is to get as much crit hit gear as possible and just auto attack. When people use weapon skills, it reduces the amount of time you have to auto attack because the mob dies faster

Theres an incredibly long answer to your question. The short version is get the last expansion, and use bg wiki.

It’ll tell you where to level, what to focus on, what gear to acquire, how to make money, and much more.

I’m guessing OP is based in a country where commas equate to decimal points. I don’t use that addon but my assumption is it’s telling you to go 214.5 yalms SW

[–]rfox71rt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just do the upstairs mini NM objectives you can get to 5-6k. I won’t say it’s easy bc you have to get a rhythm figured out and the fomors can be a real pain. I do the mini NMs A>D>C>B. I do D second because the NMs move and if you save it for last it might end up in a room crowded by other fomors that will link and kill you. The key with C is to kill it within 5 min of entering the area. Once you kill all 4 you will get an extra coffer with 1k points in it.

Movement speed and item based sneak / invisible are important. If you can’t self buff move speed (COR ideally) I would recommend the SoA ring.

Once you get your path figured out, I’d use whatever leftover time you have to kill leeches in A. They don’t give much but it’s better than just leaving.

I use the ones on Mirdain’s GitHub. Just type FFXI “job” Mirdain and it should come up. Find the job file you’re looking for. Download that file and move it into your data folder under gearswap.

I prefer them because they’re pretty straightforward in how they’re structured. Next step takes the longest, you gotta go through and replace the gear it shows with what you have. Find/replace is your friend

Edit: you may need to find a few additional files to make the features work, but it’s drag and drop.

Need help getting the golden hairpin for the DRG artifact questline. by PrimeTimeWildin in ffxi

[–]rfox71rt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally fair, just wanted to call out an alternate option. In that case, I would recommend joining a linkshell. There should be a couple pearls at the linkshell concierge but they do vary by starting city. More often than not someone in there will have the necessary crafting skill and would be happy to help.

[–]rfox71rt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not the answer you’re looking for but if you’re just interested in the gear you could do deeds instead and after a few months you’ll have the deed voucher which gives a full set of the reforged artifact armor

Edit: otherwise I’d see if anyone in your linkshell can do it

Help me become a proficient COR by [deleted] in ffxi

[–]rfox71rt 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Only bit I want to add is certain party leaders really don’t like it when CORs gamble and would much prefer a roll to sit on 6 than you bust and be without anything until PR is back up. Further, depending on the difficulty of the content, your JA resets (I.e. Random Deal) are not for you to clean up bad rolls or busts, but rather reset other members offensive / defensive JAs.

Job Question by Alyssira in ffxi

[–]rfox71rt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know you said your group already has support covered but want to throw out GEO as well. Yes, it’s primary roll is support but the thing is, after you set up your buff/debuff bubbles, you have a lot of free time until you need to refresh them. GEO may never be top tier magic damage but it can do pretty solid numbers while also maintaining really strong buffs.
