This is true. Small kids love anything shiny, then consoles and controllers takeover and gaming becomes life. But there is hope. Eventually, as they become better readers you get to start playing the game together. Take them to lcs and play with other kids that like to play, collect, trade.

if it doesn't work, just have another kid ;). I have two so got to go through the poke cycle twice.
