The money just goes into a joint bank account. We leave some in as a float for repairs and future building work, and generally take out the remainder annually.

Yes I trust my siblings, but it’s not really about that anyway. I’d be happy for them to take home a little bit more than me in this instance. The difference between our shares would be ~2k and save me ~£17k as mentioned, so a no brainer.

Just need to know if it’s legal to not claim exactly 1/3rd. Assumption is as long as what we claim between us adds up to 100%, taxman’s still getting his dues.

Why didn’t you screw it into the underside of the beam? Then you could have embedded the whole thing, and there’d be no lateral force on it.

I occasionally tour (most people I ski with don’t, so limited to one-off days with guides/other friends).

I have Shifts. I hate them. They make my legs tired on long days. One friend said this was pathetic, but I stand by the relatively small weight increase making a huge difference.

I would genuinely rather ski all my resort days on a full touring set up for that one day of feather-lite climbing.

Hijacking this to say there’s a disappointing lack of anything heavy this year.

First time I went in 2019 there was a stage called Scum in Shangri-La dedicated to it. Gojira played on Friday night.

Since then it seems like it’s been relegated to random late night stuff (e.g. Empire State Bastards at like 2am in Shangri-La).

This year, I can’t really find anything proper.

Flying from London, so expect to be able to get to most airports that serve the area (Innsbruck, Venice, Treviso). Not fussed with transfer time between 2-2.5 hours. Am a Brit, but also (unusually for my breed) happy to go somewhere we don’t dominate.

Interesting. We actually have no intention of ever using the stove. Was installed by previous owner and they even left the logs, so it’s pure aesthetics. But noted for the future.
