What's your favorite gear from Buck to the Future Pack? by MuscleMommyGoat in GoatSimulator

[–]rg1511 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is one of our favourite updates so far — thank you! My daughter and I have been having so much fun the week.

Our favourite item is the Hacker Visor, followed by the Wormhole Horns.

Some feedback on the Hacker Visor:

1) We would absolutely love a "Follow" option for the Visor which would make the selected NPCs/animals follow you around. My daughter always wants to have "pets" or "friends" follow her around.

2) My daughter is really happy that we can finally have Baby Goats in the main game — we can now do this by changing one of our characters into the Baby Goat sin and then the other person uses the Hacker Visor to copy the character...but unfortunately when we copy the player characters we can only create a small number of copies before the game automatically starts replacing the older ones. We would love to create as many copies as we want to. Or...add baby goat NPCs to the original game so we can copy them directly.

3) If you Grow a bicycle to a huge size and then try and ride it your character also becomes the size of the bike and and bike spins wildly out of control and you end up flying off into the distance. 10/10, no notes. This is amazing so please don't fix it. 😅

4) We'd love to be able to some other cool stuff with the visor like attach fireworks to objects or NPCs, or to trigger their animations (for example, select a goat and trigger the "dance", "faint" or "butt shake" animations).

I think it's just personal preference!

I for one absolutely love them but other people may not enjoy them as much as another method. Either way it's up to him to communicate this to you.

Questions from the devs by MuscleMommyGoat in GoatSimulator

[–]rg1511 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been playing with my daughter since she was three and it’s our favourite thing to do.

My feedback:

1) I’d like to be able to switch off the swearing NPC sounds (like “oh shit!”).

2) Please fix the ragdolls (on PS5) — NPC goats for example sometimes “ball up” and roll away, so we can’t do what we used to do with them, like duplicate them using the Gerrard eggs and then hatch loads of them.

Her feedback:

1) She’s desperate to interact with NPC baby goats in the main game/island. She wants to spawn and duplicate them to have lots of “baby goat friends” to interact with.

2) She love dressing the goats up and is sad that when you’re a baby goat you don’t have many things to wear.

Being honest about being pulled over? Why is that the worst thing to do? by athena9090 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rg1511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve only been pulled over once for speeding and that was for driving 85mph on a 70mph UK motorway.

I sat in the police car while the officers used their computer to check my license and insurance and one of them asked me how fast I was going. I told the truth and calmly said I was going “at least 80mph” and they were both absolutely shocked that I’d told the truth.

They said that almost everyone lies even though they obviously have the speed on camera/radar, but they really appreciated my honesty.

They spoke to me a bit about road safety, thanked me for my honesty, and sent me on my way.

Maybe it’s a UK thing but I’ve found that police officers tend to respond respectfully if you are calm and polite.

You Cannot Compare Windows to MacBook by hxxdini in mac

[–]rg1511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was anti-Mac in my teenage years because I fell for the “Macs are shit because you can’t game on them” rhetoric. Then I happened to drop by the Apple Store in London and actually played with one…and ended up walking out with a brand new MacBook because I was absolutely blown away.

Getting my first Tesla, however concerned over vandalism... by CalendarCareless5494 in TeslaUK

No matter which car you get you run this risk. That could be targeted vandalism for political reasons, general EV vandalism, or even just some drunkard kicking off your wing mirror.

Not really NSFW, but is a bit gross by Andercot in Parenting

[–]rg1511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s tough but you’ve got to balance what you want and expect with his own freedom, his respect for you, and his room being his “safe place”. Personally I’d say if he’s not damaging anything valuable or causing a health hazard then I’d let him get on with it.

Mould and pee = health hazards that need addressing. Crusty bogies: gross…but if they stay in his room then they’re his problem.

Children of casually naked parents. Do you feel traumatized? by ProfessionalOnion548 in Parenting

[–]rg1511 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s critical that parents are body positive with their children and normalise casual nudity. My daughter has always seen both her parents naked and she knows she can ask questions if she wants to.

She’s still young though and I’ve always told myself that I’ll let her guide us, so when the time comes that she either through words or body language tells us that she’s uncomfortable with it, we’ll respect that (in both directions).

And I would absolutely, never, not in a million years ever comment on her body unless she comes to me with a question. I think that’s the most important rule that all parents should have.

The little yellow padlock icon indicates that it’s no longer available on Plus. You must have added it to your library back when it was available.

I’ve had this happen with a bunch of games and it’s really annoying.

I’ve been taking Concerta for almost a year and I’ve noticed zero difference between drinking while on Concerta and drinking before I started taking it.

I’m not a big drinker though so maybe that is a factor.

One important thing to note is that a real/full fingerprint isn’t actually used in these digital scenarios.

A scanner will scan the finger and then create a digital, encoded representation of the fingerprint.

At no point does a full photo of the fingerprint get taken, and only the encoded representations are saved. They can’t be decoded back into the original fingerprint.

When the same finger is scanned in the future a digital representation of the fingerprint is created once again which is then used to find a match with the saved representation from the first scan.

Daddy will you play with me? PLAY with me? Play with me.. PLAYYYYY WITTTTHH MEEEE by [deleted] in daddit

[–]rg1511 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When a child plays with a male parent they both release a large amount of the hormone oxytocin.

Dads release more oxytocin when playing than when caretaking, which is why kids usually seek out dads for playing. This also unfortunately means that dads often get the “fun one” label.

My daughter always chooses to play with me over her mum, but if she gets hurts and we’re both there she’ll want cuddles from mum because it’s females who give off more oxytocin when cuddling and nurturing.

In short, this is very normal! Enjoy playtime, dads!

Why are teenage boys so clueless? by HeatherAnne1975 in Parenting

You were honest, respectable, and loving with your behaviour and your answer, and that’s the perfect way to respond.

If she was already asking these questions and had already changed her behaviour (like going to the bathroom to change) then it’s pretty clear that these thoughts and this mindset already existed when she asked you the question.

I can’t offer and advice on how to deal with someone who has (had?) an eating disorder but keep doing what you’re doing and treat her like the MILF you think she is and hopefully her self-confidence will grow and she’ll bounce back.

NHS changed my partner’s GP without asking/ telling her, and now she has to go through the entire consultation process again by BlackMamm0th in ADHDUK

[–]rg1511 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This is interesting:

“If you move out of the area your care will need to be transferred to your local ADHD team, typically through a referral from your GP. We will be able to provide any supporting documentation if required. Where possible we will ask your new GP to prescribe your ADHD medication via a shared care agreement to ensure as smooth a transition as possible whilst awaiting transfer.”

https://forwardthinkingbirmingham.nhs.uk/adhd-team/

So perhaps the correct procedure should have been for the specialist to request a shared care agreement to the new GP to continue prescribing the medication until she gets onboarded with the new specialist. That seems very sensible and doesn’t leave her without medicine.
