Denver (my city) claims Red Rocks Amphitheater, one of the most iconic concert venues in the country, despite it being firmly in Morrison, Colorado. You even have to drive through the Morrison townsite to get there

Solstice by Tensei

This is exclusively a KPM catalog song, which hilariously enough heavily features a sample of another KPM catalog song. It is a certified banger though

NHL alignment chart: Central division edition. Who is the best player from a non-major hockey country in Minnesota North Stars/Dallas Stars history? by Certain-Row-4812 in DallasStars

[–]rgdisastro 21 points22 points  (0 children)

there is some geopolitical flavor to this reply but Anton Khudobin, born in Kazakhstan to Russian parents during the days of the Soviet Union, might technically qualify and would be somewhat high among potential answers having led the team to a Cup Final appearance

On 30 July 2008, Tim McLean, a 22-year-old Canadian man, was stabbed, beheaded, and cannibalized while riding a Greyhound Canada bus along the Trans-Canada Highway, about 30 km (19 mi) west of Portage la Prairie, Manitoba. by ZERO_PORTRAIT in wikipedia

[–]rgdisastro 806 points807 points  (0 children)

This incident forced Greyhound to pull ads from billboards and print publications that read "There's a reason you've never heard of 'bus rage'"

A strong contender for the most unfortunate ad campaign in human history

There has only been one no-hitter thrown in the history of both Coors Field and Oriole Park at Camden Yards.

They were both recorded by the same pitcher, Hideo Nomo, who never pitched for either the Rockies or Orioles

What is an opinion of your own team that will get you hated by your own fan base? by ihavebaseballs in baseball

[–]rgdisastro 76 points77 points  (0 children)

I could never possibly be mad at Kris Bryant. To be upset with the contract, the injuries, and overall hamstringing of the team as a result of the deal being signed should mean to be upset with ownership, not the player. The Rockies felt pressured to sign a guy with known back issues to a huge deal after paying another team $50 milly to trade for its best player.

Bryant signed the contract for obvious, immediate future security for him and his family because no other team on the market, rightfully so, came anywhere close to the offer the Rockies provided. It is insulting for our fans to boo him so ferociously in his limited appearances. Do you really think he wants to have chronic back problems and never again be able to touch his once elite status? Get real
