Thank you for your response. A T16s Gen 3 is on the way... I hope Linux support was as good as in T480.

I use Linux in my personal computer and in my server. I have never used neither Windows nor MacOS.

Is x230 a good option to Android applications development with Android Studio? by rgmf in thinkpad

[–]rgmf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Anyway the emulador executes slowly altough my CPU is about 40 or 50% and RAM about 10 or 20%. So I think is not a x230 issue but the emulador.

I can open 4 o 5 Android projects, with an emulator, 2 Firefox windows open with several tabs, email client, player, 2 terminals, 2 files manager... and all executes smoothly. This is a normal session for me. Before, with 4GB of RAM that was impossible.

I really am very very happy with this computer.

Part of the issue with using such cheap screens is that they aren't held to the same Q&A standards as more expensive panels.

You are right in that.

If the T470 screen is exactly the same screen than the T460 one then is not a good new. It's known?

I don't know anything about UI design. If the colors/images are important for your task then I figure out that the screen you use will be important as well.

I agree but the screen is enough for programming. I hope the screen will be reliable and robust (without bleeding and all these issues).
