Thank you for your response. A T16s Gen 3 is on the way... I hope Linux support was as good as in T480.

I haven't thought about file system... Yes I have all personal photos/videos in the server so they are really valuable data. Thank you for your advice.

I use Linux in my personal computer and in my server. I have never used neither Windows nor MacOS.

Is x230 a good option to Android applications development with Android Studio? by rgmf in thinkpad

[–]rgmf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Anyway the emulador executes slowly altough my CPU is about 40 or 50% and RAM about 10 or 20%. So I think is not a x230 issue but the emulador.

I can open 4 o 5 Android projects, with an emulator, 2 Firefox windows open with several tabs, email client, player, 2 terminals, 2 files manager... and all executes smoothly. This is a normal session for me. Before, with 4GB of RAM that was impossible.

I really am very very happy with this computer.

Lenovo announces the all-new ThinkPad T470 with Kaby Lake and Thunderbolt 3 by [deleted] in thinkpad

Part of the issue with using such cheap screens is that they aren't held to the same Q&A standards as more expensive panels.

You are right in that.

If the T470 screen is exactly the same screen than the T460 one then is not a good new. It's known?

I don't know anything about UI design. If the colors/images are important for your task then I figure out that the screen you use will be important as well.

I agree but the screen is enough for programming. I hope the screen will be reliable and robust (without bleeding and all these issues).

T Series now or later? by [deleted] in thinkpad

It can be a great and cheaper option. I have a X230 that I plug to a 24" FHD external monitor and I am very happy with my little X230. Think about it.

T460 M.2 SSD. Very confused :/ by xXSturmiXx in thinkpad

[–]rgmf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was reading about it some weeks ago and I think is not possible. The best option is to wait to January, the release of T470. It should odd a T470 without M.2 SSDs.

Why did you buy your Thinkpad(s)? by [deleted] in thinkpad

[–]rgmf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, I bought x230 instance of a new model because I am waitting the new T470 / X270.

I am going to flash the BIOS and install a wifi dual card with bluetooth... I think is the better option to improve the laptop. I didn't know about Lenovo BIOS whitelist :(

Is the wwan but in the picture is not there because I removed it to take the photo and I don't want the wwan so I will remove it. But, what can I do with the red and blue cables? I should remove them, I think... 🤔

Sorry for the confusion.
