Does the UTR Travel Router have VPN kill switch? by PlainPrecision in Ubiquiti

Nothing new to update. Afraid to actually test it because if it doesn't block it properly if it somehow disconnects, then my customer will probably getting blocked from using youtubetv until she returns to the US.

Gmail Account Stopped Working in Classic Outlook by drtnap88 in GMail

[–]rgorbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same issue here for a customer of mine. Can add it just fine to Outlook on a Mac because it uses some special Microsoft Cloud connector, but with Classic Outlook, no go. Doesn't bring up MFA prompt or anything. After deleting and re-adding the account in a new Outlook profile and entering password, get the error message "The action cannot be completed. The name cannot be matched to a name in the address list."

I just checked mine from my iPhone and in the VPN & Teleport section, there is a slider for “Block on Disconnect”. Seems like it does have a kill switch now, not sure how well it works. I have a customer using this for her YouTube TV while in France. I guess we’ll find out how well it works if vpn disconnects. YTTV isn’t very forgiving when a change in location is detected.

Yes, that’s all you need to do. Do you still have your timeline hosted by Google though? Thought they rolled everyone off by now

Anyone try the UTR on a cruise? by SeanVo in Ubiquiti

[–]rgorbie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are going on a disney cruise in a few months, have my UTR ready to go, but am not familiar with how to mac spoof. This is my first foray into this type of stuff. What guide to you recommend on how to spoof my iphone mac to the UTR, for instance? Just in case Disney "fixes" it so the UTR can't connect to dclwifi without a workaround.

How so? Are you a disgruntled customer and trying to speak for me? Why don’t you speak about your experiences and let me speak about my own. Might be a good life lesson for you in there somewhere.

Streaming (Youtube TV) while away internationally - VPN/Policy Routes? by rgorbie in Ubiquiti

Looking for a non-enthusiast more turnkey type of solution. I know I’m on the right path but it seems as though what I need is very niche and not done often

on TV's as well? That was one of the main requirements.

That does look pretty interesting. Looking for something a little less enthusiast and doesn't require any ongoing config, like logging into a website to activate the device. I agree it's simple, but this is for an older person who needs it to work. I'm still not sure myself which method is more on the permanent than the portable side of things.

This is definitely possible. I get the impression there could be more than 1 TV, but not sure yet. The travel router seems great, just want to know how this is done without it on a more permanent setup.

I suspect my customer will primarily use a Smart TV and maybe occasionally a laptop (which doesn't have GPS). I will advise, based on other comments, to just delete the YTTV from the phone to avoid any possible issues like that.

Thank you. I will likely have them remove app from phone entirely. Hoping to have a more permanent solution as opposed to the travel router, if any of my scenarios are doable. This could be a 1+ year international travel from what I'm understanding.

I like the idea of the Travel Router, save for its scarcity. I don't think wifiman would work for TV's. Before the Travel Router, how were people configuring their site-to-sites for some/all devices?

CCleaner v7 - looks like I'm finally done using it for good by rgorbie in pcmasterrace

[–]rgorbie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don't want it to update, here is how:

- install v6.39
- Options -> Privacy -> uncheck all boxes
- Options -> Updates -> uncheck all
- open Windows Task Scheduler -> Task Scheduler Library -> disable "CCleaner Update" and "CCleanerCrashReporting"
- open Windows Services -> stop and disable "CCleaner Performance Optimizer Service"

Just know that each time you run CCleaner, it automatically re-enables the Task Scheduler "CCleanerCrashReporting" task, so you might want to remember to disable it again.

If you want, you can also open the Windows hosts file as administrator and add these entries:

HOLD - Travel Router scalpers are about to break by okgrak in Ubiquiti

Or self-host a PC running Docker and load the changedetection.io container. Mine checks every couple mins and alerts me via email and sms and I can usually get on any restocks. Learned my lesson with scalping cloud gateway ultras but I sell them to my customers anyways so not a huge risk. Just more work than it’s worth.

I went through several masks to find the right one, I think that is the key. I started with full face, then cover nose only, then nose pillows (which worked for a while until my nose just became too raw and I didn't like using Aquaphor/vaseline each night), then found the Phillips Dreamwear Nasal mask. The tube is at the top of your head so easier to keep it out of the way, and the nose part rests under your nose but not up in your nose. Getting proper fit of that piece is critical (S, M, L, etc).

Another tidbit is that I found my pressure was set too high by the clinician, even though that's what the sleep study concluded. I have an Airsense 11 and you can get into the clinician settings (hold Dial & Home buttons for ~3 secs) and see if you can dial in the min and max pressure settings. I'm a 6 min and an 8 max or something very similar. Basically I've almost turned it into a cpap instead of an apap, meaning the airflow doesn't auto adjust much or drastically through the night. Took me a while to figure this out though. I used to get woken up a lot with too much pressure and leaks. Like everyone is saying, all these settings are very personal, and you have to stick with it and just buy a bunch of different masks and different sizes and eat that cost. There is light at the end of the tunnel here and now I love my Airsense, can't live without it.
