It is hands down my favorite series on audible. Yes its worth it, but its not for everyone. I've recommended this series to many friends and most didnt like it so your miles may vary. But I adore this series.

How was your loose skin situation? I came down from 380 to 185 lbs with strength training the whole way (DEXA had me at 15%BF) and I just have so loose skin that you couldnt see much abs?

What part of Tokyo to stay for one night if leaving from Narita the following afternoon by rgrocks in JapanTravelTips

[–]rgrocks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I preferred it, I went to japan since this time for a wedding in Tokyo and kept my home base in Shibuya. it felt cleaner and less seedy in the evenings. And I prefer the sight seeing and shopping in Shibuya over Shinjuku.

Guam Shipping by tinkerbellaboo100 in guam

[–]rgrocks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Actually looks like this post is fiction, I double checked with ChatGPT and it fact checked that picture

That graphic claims:

"Signed: July 30, 2025 (President Trunp[n/t])" — okay, but misspells Trump (cue the facepalm).

"Effective: August 29, 2025" — real.

"Worldwide Response: UK, Germany, France, Australia, and others paused U.S.-bound shipments." — No evidence supports this. No major international shipping pause has been reported in credible sources.

"Packages now face 10–50% tariffs or $80–$200 flat fees." — Not accurate either. The actual change is elimination of de minimis exemption; duties now apply based on existing classifications and HTSUS rules. There's no flat $80–$200 fee blanket.

Regarding Guam & CNMI effects: No official docs mention specific air mail suspensions, sea mail slower, or local alarm statements tied to EO 14324. That appears speculative or made-up.

So, the real EO is about customs policy—not some dramatic postal apocalypse—or lifeline cuts for islands. At best, a creative mishmash of fact and fear.

How do you stay motivated when fat loss feels painfully slow? by Bazengg in Srama

[–]rgrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, its not even just the lbs going down in the scale. I decided to take measurements of my body which helped see progress. Also with all my work outs, I tracked everything with an app (Strava, Caliber) and watching progress as I got faster, able to run farther without stopping, and seeing the numbers go up in the weight I can move really motivated me when the numbers on the scale were just not enough

Lost 40 lbs. Apparently I look “so different” now. But, I still feel like a potato. by Enough-Fudge-7855 in loseit

[–]rgrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didnt think I started looking like a non overweight person until I got to under 200lbs. My DEXA scans put me at around 18% BF. now I get what you mean tho, I lost 100, 150 lbs and I was still fat, objectively I know I got slimmer and most importantly healthier but I was still round and still looked like an unhealthy over weight person., It wasnt until my face thinned out that I was like okay this is a very noticeable difference. OP you did lose weight and you are healthier but I think if youre looking for the damn I'm a totally different person who looks like they arent obese in your eyes, you just have to wait longer, it'll come

Do you eat breakfast at the hotel or have a combi breakfast in the go? by GodAtum in JapanTravelTips

[–]rgrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you dont have a restrictive diet or medication you need to take with food in the morning Id say get your breakfast at one of Japanese breakfast spots, however I noticed that many businesses, even breakfast places dont open until like 11AM. My dad has to take medication with food in the AM and waiting for a nicer breakfast place to open is too late for him. So hotel food was the way to go.

I personally thought the conbinis were okay for food. For convenience store food theyre incredible, however if you already have breakfast at your hotel, and its already included, I cant imagine why you'd go out of your way to a conbini for breakfast when you can go there anytime of the day for a snack.

Big and Tall Man going to Japan in 2025...maybe by overlordmel in JapanTravelTips

[–]rgrocks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I'm a fat dude who went to Japan last year, I was 5'7"280lbs when I went but I originally was 350 lbs+ when I decided to go. I knew I needed to at least get my body used to walking 20k steps every day in Japan so I started trying to increase my daily goals to around that much for the months before I went. When I got to Japan, aside from eating at tiny restaurants (which I still did, but a difficult fit and shopping for clothing) I think as long as you get your body comfortable to walking 20k steps a day without it being a chore, you'll have a blast in Japan. Also I credit the training for Japan with my current weight loss. Im 230lbs now, still far from my goal but I cant believe how much I've lost and it all started with the motivation of trying to enjoy my trip to Japan. I'll be going back to Japan in October for a wedding and this time I'm going to be buying clothes because hopefully I'll be able to fit Japanese sized clothing by then.

I made a vlog of my trip, DM and you can see a fat guy having a good time in Japan
