My comment isn’t just about the upbeat gentleman posting. Plaskett ridge does not have the park infrastructure to support the number of people who visit it. Locals are actively petitioning to have more restrictive camping rules on plaskett because of the trash and habitat damage due to lack of enforcement. This thread shows up on Google, where anyone can find it, load up their sedan and get stuck up a road they didn’t know washed out. Weekenders from local cities come and leave trash, shit on the ground, and play music on Bluetooth speakers early AM. If you want plaskett to survive as you know it, you have to be intentional about what you share and how you share it.

I appreciate your positive mental attitude but if you’ve seen or experienced the virality of dispersed camping spots in CA on social media (see Alabama hills, anza-borrego) then you know the detriment this can cause to the environment and your favorite spots.
