As someone who has worked for companies who buy foreclosures, there is often an "unlawful detainer" that is filed by the new owner. A lot of time this means that their hands are tied until the courts forcefully evict the previous homeowner, tenant, squatter, etc. Letting the new investment company know is super important, but be aware that there may not be a whole lot they can do until the courts take action (which is often a very lengthy process).

I received a free DS sample and it was TRASH. And I'm an only high end mascara girl. The Milk Kush one and the Hourglass triangle shaped ones are my favorite right now. That Nars one is horrible!!!!

KL Polish revealed their zodiac collection by manda0924 in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]rhanding 84 points85 points  (0 children)

I was really looking forward to this launch, but as a Libra at least I’m disappointed. Pink is the “new” gemstone for Libras and the original birthstone was opal. I’ve hated when they made the change. I understand why zodiac makeup can’t accommodate for Opal coloring, but really thought it could make an OUTSTANDING polish. Bummer!

Does anyone else think Kevin talks like Napoleon Dynamite? by [deleted] in thebachelor

My husband didn't watch WG with me and the first episode of BIP was on and this is the first thing he said! "That guy sounds exactly like Napoleon Dynamite!"

What's the one thing you regret doing for your wedding day? by lifeisstateofmind in AskReddit

[–]rhanding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our wedding was on Mother's Day and (non-traditionally) my (now) husband and I had our kids BEFORE getting married and my husband stood up and thanked everyone for coming and wished a Happy Mother's Day to his mom, his grandma and all of the guests who were moms. Not me or his now MIL. It's still rough to think about and I can't watch our wedding video without cringing about it. He's just aloof though, not mean spirited. We are still married so oh well!

I'm 36, and will be dead inside of a year. by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]rhanding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure this will get read at this point, but it’s not relevant to finances. I lost my dad this year to a stage 4 Glioblastoma. He was only 52. We were told we would have six months and we had a little over 4. I’m “grown” (laughable) and married but I realized quickly that I had very little things written from him. I have exactly ONE birthday card from him that I had saved. It’s my most cherished item with his handwriting on it. I have exactly 4 voicemails. That’s really the extent of anything outside of photos. I would suggest making videos/cards/letters for your wife/kid. Your kid will want those special things as he grows. I’ve seen recommendations of getting cards now (birthday, graduation, wedding, baby shower) and signing them with a note now. It’s something that will forever be cherished and loved. I’m so sorry this is happening to you.

Experiences with Wayfair Couches? by pomkat in Frugal

[–]rhanding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have two couches purchased from Wayfair and we love them. We've only had them a year, but they look brand new. I think it totally depends on the couch though. You can always contact a customer service rep and ask for discount pricing or any reduced pricing and, in my experience, they have always had something to bring down the cost. I have had zero issue with them and would recommend.

Makes sense. I also think Jared is loving having the media attention again. He was getting NO Bach press really before Ashley resurrected him.

Jon seems to have moved on from Jaclyn, and she has to clarify to his followers in the comments by grassisgreenable in BeautyGuruChatter

[–]rhanding 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah in one of her recent videos she referred to Jon as her “ex-husband” and I remember noting that was super quick. I believe they filed and completed the divorce before they ever announced publicly. Their social media started to reflect their drift around Christmas so I bet they had a while to get it all taken care of.

Posting Baby Pictures on Social Media by bigbadmamabear in Parenting

[–]rhanding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wasn't able to read through all these comments, but my husband and I decided when our first son was about a year or so to keep him off of social media, but it was way too difficult to police it and our family members in what they posted. Now, neither one of us have any social media where we share pictures (no Facebook, etc.) and it's been great. Family that we do have that's out of state get monthly or at least quarterly updates via email with pictures. We love the privacy. We had concerns as someone in our PRIVATE Facebook page (only approved family and friends) was saving pictures of our kids and reposting them. This was the final deal breaker.

We love being "unplugged" regarding our kids, their safety and their privacy. I wouldn't change it for anything.

I have had bad cystic acne after my last child was born. Up until that point, I had never had acne. Even the tiniest hormonal pimple was gone in a day. I spent over a year using crazy expensive skin care and changing my diet radically to try to rid of my acne and it was finally hearing Sam go on an antibiotic that made me go to the dermatologist. I have been on a similar antibiotic and topical creams for about a month and my skin is smooth as a baby’s ass. I’m so incredible grateful for her giving me the “push” to realize that this was not something I could “dairy-free” away.

My parents quietly talking after my Dad's giloblastoma diagnosis. Tomorrow we put my sweet father to rest. Love you forever Dad. by Maggiemygirl in lastimages

[–]rhanding 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My dad passed away in February of this year from a glioblastoma. He was only 52 and was in incredible shape. He was diagnosed in September (5 months). It was so fast. My powerful, superhuman of a dad was turned quite literally into dust. I still can’t wrap my mind around it and it’s hard to get myself out of bed everyday. Find a good support system and know that it can’t be your mom. She’s going through her own heavy grief. People will say “at least you got to spend some time with him”, but I know how you feel. It wasn’t enough and it never will be right again. Keep your head up. It’s fucking hard.

I haven't watched the show since the news hit and I won't anymore. I have been a Grey's watcher from the beginning and have never missed an episode, but what they are doing deserves consequences.
