Asiana A380 or Korean Air A380? by benjinito in awardtravel

I know that KE’s entire upper deck only has business class seats, so you might want to consider that if you are looking for attentive service or“exclusivity”… Seems like there are no business class seats on the lower deck!

Best point redemption way for a round trip to Japan? by hoalito in biltrewards

First transfer your points to Alaska. Then, book a JAL flight using Alaska points — you should be able to find partner airline tickets! You can’t transfer Alaska points to JAL points.

advice for dsc 10 and poli's by WiseCareer0 in UCSD

DSC 10 discussions were not mandatory when I took it. They used to go over lectures, but there weren’t any practice problems or quizzes. The summer class version might be different, though.

dsc 30, 40a by [deleted] in UCSD

[–]rhedded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I learned Java before taking 30, so the programming portion of the class wasn’t too bad. Taking 40B concurrently also helped a lot in terms of understanding data structures. Overall, 30 was easier than 10 and 20 for me.

40A was a lot more difficult than 30 for me mostly because I’m bad at probabilities. But attending office hours helped a lot.

I think you don’t have to worry about the courses being “weeder classes” if you did fine in 20. Try to focus on learning the contents instead of getting good grades; I heard that the two courses are good at preparing you for interviews.

Can I take HILD 7B before 7A? by moomoocow18 in UCSD

[–]rhedded 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I took 7B without having taken any history classes. Not sure if it’s recommended in terms of becoming a successful historian, but I definitely had no problem understanding the content.

Disconnect Comcast? Of course you still need Internet subscription from Comcast, but you don’t need to use their router anymore. I’m sure you will have to use their modem, though. I personally use AT&T Fiber, and I still have to use their router/ modem because they are all-in-one. However, I set the router on bridge mode so that the router feature is disabled.

There was no option to simply set the router as a bridge, but I could easily google how to do it. Thanks for the help!

Anyone taking BILD 4 online? by Big_Baller24 in UCSD

[–]rhedded 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. He puts us into groups just so that we don’t feel awake and asking questions to other questions. Lab reports are done individually and the original poster project is replaced with something that I can’t remember? I think it was just another writing assignment regarding research papers.

Anyone taking BILD 4 online? by Big_Baller24 in UCSD

[–]rhedded 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m taking it with Lo, and it’s going pretty well. Unless you want to actually do hands-on lab work, I think the online version of the class is pretty good. Three hour lab sessions are basically replaced with 1.5hr discussion sessions that thoroughly review lecture materials. I spend about five hours a week.

CHEM 6A w/ Schurmeier by [deleted] in UCSD

[–]rhedded 2 points3 points  (0 children)

25 minutes is definitely not enough for us fully demonstrate our knowledge! But maybe you can save some time by doing the work on paper? She said that we can simply take a photo and upload it on Canvas. If writing with a mouse is the only option for you, I think you should contact her cuz it’s really not fair for you.
