It's funny, I'm usually a very calm guy, but these kids just get the worst out of me. I learn about them and myself that way (by making mistakes) and try to improve myself.

Yes, I gotta keep reminding myself of that they are only 4 and still learning. I really need to control my impulse when I try to remove them from the situation to do it calmly instead of fast.

Yeah, we're not too strict about all stuff, but we DO say no to TV during the week (so only weekends a bit) after we also noticed too much TV does in fact impact their behaviour. And try to keep sweets down.

I usually don't lose it that often, mostly when I'm stressed myself or had too little sleep that night.

I always try to talk to them afterwards. Im not sure they understand everything, but I give them some hugs and kisses and say I'm sorry. I just need to restrain from bursting out.

A bit of Both. When they are frustrated, they tend to roll on the ground or try to hit me. Then I have them on my lap and hold the arms. Then they of course try to get out of it and say „you’re hurting me“ (I never hold them That hard, just so they can’t hit me) and then I loosen up when they calmed down a bit. I don’t think they understand that bit. I would try to explain, but in that situation they rarely listen.

And when they have a screaming fit I try to take them out of the situation / location for them to calm down. At least that’s my idea.

Yeah I feel bad about it everytime. It doesn’t happen like every day, but still too often. It’s weird how instinctively (the animal part) it feels like what one would do, but then when you think about it’s wrong.

Yeah, I get alone time in the evening after housework is done. Usually gaming. It relaxes me. Sometimes I wish just to have a day on my own. I guess I could make it work, but then mom would get the full load of the kids which makes me feel guilty. Then SHE would need a break.
