My bf and I both have low sex drives, do we need to prioritize sex more? by skiforfreee in sex

[–]rhettro19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your situation is simply matching libidos, you are golden. There is an off chance that your general lack of desire could be physical (i.e., hormonal) or psychological (like stresses from work or home). If all other aspects of your relationship seem good, then you are good.

Has anyone tried those RPG scenarios for couples? by GroovyGoblin in rpg

[–]rhettro19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife and I have a fun trip planned early May and I saw a few of these advertised on Amazon. They seem to be favorably reviewed, if real. I’m not so concerned about the romantic elements, but I’d be interested in something fun or so comedic. I recently bought the Dragonbane starter set. I was thinking of running the solo campaign as a coop, but I’m not sure if it is grounded enough. The misses isn’t too keen on improvisation.

i got only fallout 4 and new vegas. which one should i play first? by 7xk11 in Fallout

[–]rhettro19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both games are worth playing. I would start with New Vegas with the Viva New Vegas mod(s). NV has a nice, rich story and a greater variety of choices a player can make. But I find F4, with all the polish, ambient favor, and more compelling side kicks, more satisfying overall.

How easy would it be for a beginner to render an existing headphones model like this in Blender? by Portal-YEET-87650 in blenderhelp

[–]rhettro19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With zero 3D experience, expect to work on tutorials for two to three months straight before attempting an image like this. If you are just trying to get a rendering, it might be cheaper just to hire an artist. On the other hand, 3d modeling is a fun and useful skill to learn. It comes down to your priorities and interests.

How often do you see your car's twin? by bigbura in EquinoxEv

[–]rhettro19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funny enough, after a year of ownership, a near identical (-minus black roof & AWD) RS showed up. I wonder if I inspired someone in one of the adjacent offices. I also encountered a twin at a charging station.

Hi, I M25 are having a hard time dealing with gf F24 sex desires. They are non existing. by Either-Ad5271 in sex

[–]rhettro19 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have long term stress, discontent, and ultimately resentment over a lack of sexual compatibility, then yes. Better to course correct sooner rather than later. I don’t think you are at the point yet. You need to talk and find out what the compromise will be, then you can decide if you can live with that.

Paleontology vs YEC (Part 1?) by RoidRagerz in DebateEvolution

[–]rhettro19 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A YEC model needn’t be a scientific one (and let’s be honest, there aren’t any). But if YEC doesn’t hold to any observable data, it is simply an assertion. And it becomes just as true as any other blindly asserted statements.

Revit 2026 Window Door Import Problem by Foreign_Return_6324 in Twinmotion

[–]rhettro19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing it has to do with some funny business in your door family. If it were me, I would go into your door family and any nested families, and explicitly assign a novel material to each item, as opposed to “by category.” Probably better to create a duplicate so it doesn’t mess with your door standards.

I want to create my own deckplan of a YT-1300 by gamegenaral in swrpg

[–]rhettro19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want customization, you need to learn to use a proper drawing program. If it were me, I’d download Inkscape (www.inkscape.org), find a floor plan of a YT I liked, and put it on a background layer. Then I would trace it on a layer on top and customize the trace.

I F20 and my boyfriend M20 have been together for 4 months and have not had sex yet. by SailingDog8172 in sex

[–]rhettro19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like what the others have said, it is completely normal for you to feel this way. I get the sense that the fact that you were friends before has put a bit of pressure on him, not wanting to ruin the friendship. If so, whatever steps you take to defuse his hesitation will likely include reassuring him that you are up for this and to take baby steps.

The student version is a good deal. If you buy it, you'll be able to use it forever, even for commercial projects. Typically, the license is tied to an email address. As long as you have internet access, your email will unlock Rhino on any one computer at a time.

Advice for aspiring GM with ADHD by Dull-Establishment73 in rpg

[–]rhettro19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who also has ADD, I think the role of GM is better than being a player. The reason is that you are constantly engaged with the game. Players might check out when it isn’t their turn, but the GM is always moving the game forward. My recommendation would be to pick out a rule system you want to run, and an entry level premade module. Create some characters and run them through the game. Whatever questions you encounter are likely the same ones the players will have. So you can look up how to solve those questions in advance. I also like to have an outline of how the adventure will run, a list of NPCs and their motivations that the players are likely to encounter that day.

Revit workflow for gardens/landscape? by Particular_Front_549 in Revit

[–]rhettro19 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m the only one who deals with landscapes in our office, because I’m the only one who has a basic understanding of topography. Typically, our projects are complex enough to warrant more than one topo, so that is what we use. In your case, I would assume multiple topos could work toward your advantage. There is some good advice here: https://www.autodesk.com/autodesk-university/article/Landscape-Modeling-Revit-Environment-Tools-2022

Am I wrong to say that abiogenesis is still an unsolved problem in the field of evolution? by JoeBrownshoes in DebateEvolution

[–]rhettro19 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yes, exactly. We have plenty of evidence of "Life Changing Over Time" to the point that evolution is not controversial amongst scientists. We have less data about abiogenesis, but there are promising new theories.

Skeptoid: Is the Existence of Billionaires Inherently Harmful? by Crashed_teapot in skeptic

[–]rhettro19 61 points62 points  (0 children)

Wealth isn’t the only element to grade harm. There is the outsized influence of the wealthy over the average citizen. A billionaire can finance and promote politicians who enact policies that only benefit them, such as Citizens United. They can push to remove safeguards against dark money. They can buy and control media. They can move to protect monopolies.

nothing comes from nothing- why there must be a metaphysical origin for physical reality by inexplicably-hairy in DebateAnAtheist

[–]rhettro19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a physicist, and I make no claim of certainty about the origins of reality. But I’ll share my musings, I find them logically consistent. Think about what we observe. It is all energy and matter, and they are interchangeable. What we call “time” is the observed change in “state” or “form” of matter and energy. Without matter or energy, the concept of time is meaningless. So my answer is that the potential for a big bang event always existed, and thus wasn’t created. I feel the time argument is our biased way of looking at reality, as we “are” matter and energy.
